Yup, girlfriend to Joey Ramone she was! That surprised me too. That was in the 1990's. Actually I didn't know that Virginia had a blog, will have to find it. She's sure got a great look; thick brown hair, big lips, slender body, flashing eyes--looks very Italian and just outrageously cute. She was a model too.
Jarren, I'll say again that I really appreciate you putting this up. Man I am really realizing how different Berlin would have been with Virginia at the helm--much more intense and unsettling. Virginia ended up performing in an early 80's punk band called "Beast of Beast" with one of the members of The Angry Samoans on drums and opening for The Angry Samoans and Black Flag, so much different than what Berlin went on to do; she even says she left Berlin because she wanted to keep it more intense.
@MartyRotten Hey man, I'm not too sure. I did a quick google search and apparently the song was written by Joey about Johnny stealing his girlfriend, but I honestly don't know if that was Virginia or not.
There isn't much information online about Virginia, so perhaps you may get more info regarding her relationship with Joey on Ramones forums.
@Jarren202 Okay the girl in question was named Linda and she later married Johnny. Even though they were never the best of friends to begin with, the incident with Linda drove them even further apart, even though they continued to work together. Joey and VIriginia dated about 10 years later.
Thanks for uploading "City Lights"! Terri Nunn is just a completely different type of singer all around than Virginia. I've never heard Terri do the girly stuff Virginia does, and I question whether Terri could because she's so much more "womanly" sounding. She does have a great range though.
Believe it or not, I actually like Virginia Macolino better than Teri Nunn. I like Virginia's cute girly voice a lot. Hopefully someone will upload "City Lights" from the "Information" album--that's my absolute favorite Berlin song.

Had a listen to some of the tracks here on Youtube too, excellent punk.
Also read that Virginia "Mac" was also the girlfriend of Joey Ramone!
Now that The Ramones are in my head, I'm off to listen to some Helen Love...

Luckily I have my own copy of Information now, although I have to admit the sound quality isn't the best even from the pure vinyl source.
It would really benefit from a total remastering job, but I doubt the cost of such a procedure would meet demand. :(

Terri Nunn is Berlin....that's why she owns the name and continues to be Berlin.....new live cd/dvd coming out in July.
