  • the inside of that train looks like a air plane

  • The seats are much bigger, though.

  • You know all the great hot spots in LA! Sounds like an educational tour, so charge college tuition prices?? LOL

  • $300 a semester hour? Hmmmmm.

  • That sounds about right! LOL

  • That would be a GREAT tour! I never tire of you talking about the people you knew...

How much should you charge? d'UH I dunno...

  • Thanks. I haven't even barely touched on the subjects of Creepy, Betty The Bomb, Stir fry, Prime Time and my ladies of the night...but I'll get there.

    :)

  • For some reason I feel compelled to comment on this video. I don't really know why.

  • Hahaha. No comment.

  • This was so lyrical. You're way too dreamy at times, sorta like a tramp. Did you have time for any potty stops?! That's important.

  • That's the subject of the very next video!

  • Such a splenid melancholic take on the harshness of... hm, you make me imagine an underground burlesque street show with your descriptions. Charge an authentic, encouraging smile.

  • Much of my life in Los Angeles was an underground burlesque street show...the last 5 years at least.

  • wow you really were on that train forever.

  • we're only halfway thru Texas, not halfway thru the trip yet...see my compilation at Revver entitled "Cheap Retrispective" (Youtube couldn't handle the 35 minute file)

  • "Cheap Retrospective"

  • the never ending series! you have suffered like no other! the trains work in europe if you like training...

  • I have a friend who eurorailed around...said she loved it.

  • I think I'll skip the tour and head right for the airport.

  • Catch up to ya later.

  • sounds like a one of a kind cool tour. boko bucks baby. no one else will be able to give a tour like you can.

  • That's very true. Thanks!

  • oh shit I just read the comments box that you are making a documentary. Will you send men the link once its done to get it?

  • THIS documentary will be about my train trip to get to THAT documentary. I'll send you the link if THAT documentary ever gets done.

  • Yes do link...It will be interesting to see how someone else tells your story...

  • :)!

  • I don't understand Emo

  • :)!

  • Fortunately for you, I've a EMO Understanding video in the works.

    :)

  • you should put all these videos together and make a video documentary.

  • Okay. I will.

  • I have 53 minutes of this train trip on Youtube/Revver so far. How many more makes a documentary? 37 more? Hey! I'm over half way.

  • lol. you should post it on itunes when yur done

  • I just posted a 35 minute complilation of my railroad story to Revver (Youtube couldn't handle it) which automatically goes to iTunes.

  • ok thanks

  • I visited an old friend of mine in LA once, had the whole family along. Friend says, well, what sights do you want to see? Only one - La Brea Tar Pits. I found it creepy that the tar was oozing out from the cracks in the sidewalk. Pretty decent museum.

  • Sometimes the streets around there catch on fire through the asphalt cracks. It's kind of cool.

  • Play ho or no ho,....Thats some funny shit.

The only good thing about Hollywood, is that everybody is accepted, no matter how fucked up or weird you are.

  • Yep. Accepted or killed. Those are the two choices I saw on the eastern edge of Sunset Blvd.

  • Tour of the seedy side of LA life=PRICELESS :)

  • But wait....there's MOOOOORE!

  • I cannot wait :P

  • Coming down the tracks (tomorrow).

  • Good use of time posturing. Enjoyed the story.

  • Thanks. What is time posturing?

  • If you had a cam that took images at the rate 30

fps per second (fps). You edited the film at a rate of 15 fps. The final product would be choppy. Like the old school rock videos of the 80's.

  • Oh. Cool. Thanks.

  • Great trip!

Just one question. After those last few stops and being left with a feeling of abandonment or impending doom... did they actually supply your OH SO perceptive & mystifying cranium with a PILLOW ?!!

...or is that a diaper (?)

    Peace.

Love, love ,love your take on life.

  • That's an official Amtrak pillow...blankets available in the Snack Lounge for a modest price while they last.

  • But wait...there's MOOOOOORE!!!!

    :)

  • Tell your friends. Get me featured. Pony up at jamesjarvis dot net.

    :)

  • PS: You should charge about $381.23, seems fair

  • Nice round number. I like it. Reminds me of the movie "PI".

  • Yep, I have something in commun with the main character. (can't say it in public)

  • Did you use an eighth inch or 3/16ths drill bit?

  • Man, you do know all the hot spots there, don't you? LOL

  • I left out the high end hookers at the Skybar, the back door man at the House of Blues, the soap opera actors in Pacific Palisades, the wild-assed Arabs in Bel Air, the casino in Compton, the gypsy caravan in Lawndale, my homeless veterans shelter in Inglewood, Duke The Midget Pimp in Westwood, the after hours clubs and a host of other L.A. oddities.

  • The turban wearing rollerblading guitarist in Venice beach, the homeless guy with antennas on Sunset Blvd, and I'm sure many others!

  • The Blueblocker sunglasses guy, Graveline Tours, the grocery store in NoHo where Todd Chaisson used to sleep in a cardboard box, the actual physical addresses of L.A.'s top escort agencies, the Marina del Rey moviestar hideout condo, L'Ermitage in Bev Hills....yeah, I've been around.

  • The 24-hour Chinese-Mexican donut shop on Sunset Blvd where they held the stinking bum chess tournaments all night long (playing chess there made my eyes water).

  • I'm really enjoying these, M. Unique and edgy. :)

  • Thanks. Yes I am. But what about my videos? :)

Tell your friends. Get me featured. Pony up at jamesjarvis dot net.

    :)

  • I have no idea how to get you featured...I've shared your vids with friends, and...I barely have enough income to pay my bills, and I don't have a camera anymore...sorry! :)

  • What happened to your camera?

  • It was borrowed...had to return it. I'm crossing my fingers to get one for Christmas (if not sooner).

  • What kind are you going to get? Have you seen the WVFF forum thread on what kind of cameras others are recommending? It's informative.

  • No! What forum is that?

  • I'll send you the link.

    :)

  • Thanks!!

  • :)!
