  • I've seen this statue in Copenhagen several times and it was very moving to see it again in Shanghai. You could see how happy the visitors from inland provinces were, who would never usually be able to see such a thing in their lives.

  • Speaking of "Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid", There are also been GMA Fantansiya Adaptations, Such as: Marina, and Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel. :)

  • I went with my parent 2 Danmark 2 see the little mermaid statue but we were there the statue was Gone

and then I heard is was in china(shanghai) for a world expo I was sad en angry at the same time>.< T.T

  • Why couldn't they send a copy? I just went to Denmark and could not see it!!!!! Ridiculous, I think the world is sucking too much communist Chinese dick. I wonder what the would do if the World Fair would have been staged in America.

  • Yes she will be back by 2011 - actually by November 2010. Until then there is a copy of her in Tivoli and Chinese artist Ai Weiwei (China's Andy Warhol!) will display an installation on her spot.

  • Will she be back by 2011? I'm going to Europe and was hoping to go see it?

  • I'm Korean myself but this video (and the whole concept) was so very sweet.

I love both the Danes and the Chinese so much. <3

    Long live China!

    Long live Denmark!

  • Are you crazy! Why would you send one of your landmarks that far way? Couldn't you have send a copy? According to that logic, France should send the Pont Neuf over there.

    :-)
