Just perfect in everything > I listened to this song for the first time18 years ago .Now when I listened to it I remembered the old days bitter and sweet.
@gopeds11 You dont know what a great song is if it slapped you in the face. Maybe you should listen to this and dont act like a child that dont know nothing about love and life. Just wondering R U 11 YEARS OLD OR WHAT?
@luluzulu183 I got the video of GORDY at a yard sale for my grandchildren to watch when they are here at grandmas and would you believe grandma watches it over and over again when the kids are sleeping or home. I Adore The Movie mostly for Doug Stone and his songs...........
If there is a walmart near you, look for the dvd's at the register. We just purchased a dvd with 6 movies for $5, one of the movies was Gordy! The song is the only thing I really liked about the movie.
Songs like this are the reason I listen to the oldies station on the radio..........certain songs that you listened to when you were younger have a way of taking you back to the good ol days.
@Shew8619 I couldn't agree more. Sometimes I get sad when I think about the 80's music & movies. I can listen to songs from that era, and instantly an image pops up in my head of the first time I heard that song. Where I was and what I was doing.
@Shew8619 Agreed.. this brings me back to college days when the only thing you had to stress about what what you felt like doing that day. now you hear a song like this and it reminds you about how much easier life was back then and those days are long gone.. 90s country is by far the best ever.. Doug Stone, Colin Raye,John Michael Montgomery, Early Tim McGraw and Chesney, of course George
It's a tragedy that they stopped pumping money into him. He's a great artist. Better than most of todays artists like Carrie Underwood. I really feel like country music from the 90s and older are much better than todays country music. Provides a more meaningful sound. I stress and emphasize on the word ARTIST.. I firmly believe that country music was rising in the 60s and the 70s. As for this song, t'was one of the most beautiful songs ever sung by Doug Stone.
The people who dislike this video are pro-war idiots who support Obama's borrowing money from China and spending billions in U.S. tax dollars to invade and brutally occupy sovereign nations in the middle east, creating more deficit, more enemies and acting as an imperialist Hitler type when the money should be spent to create new jobs and help our own people while bringing home the troops and putting them to work protecting Americans on U.S. soil. Doug Stone for President 2012
Doug has an album out called My Turn It's on iTunes and Amazon The 3 singles on it didn't get very far on the charts cause radio sucks. It's a good album.
first song I ever learnt.. I learnt it at 7.. i couldn't think of the name, i only knew it was from doug stone and it was in gordy the pig.. i'm 19 now and its just unbelievable to hear it again!!! memories :D
What a terrific, pure voice and true country style Doug Stone had! this is a song master. He almost hits a tearful sound at times.Right down to your soul.
sad thing is that too many people the days are into more of the material things instead of love being enough.... a man/lady that can just be happy with a hand to hold, a walk under the stars, laying in each others arms and talking, saying i love you all the time becuase you never know when that chance is gonna be gone... what happened to doing these kind of things???? when you find someone that can do these things ITS TRUE LOVE hold onto it
when i first watched gordy and this song was on there i remember rewinding the ending like eight times just so i could hear this song....and i remember the reason know why i stopped listening to it ...because its the same reason my marriage ended in divorce.....i only needed more love and to know i was in his heart somewhere but that was asking too much.... GREAT SONG I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
the time i watched "GORDY" and i heard his voice in the movie for the first time, i fell in love. i loved his lyrics, voice, and reality... i kept on rewinding the video tape over and over just to hear his voice again and again... :) hes a cutie! hehe
@iambernig Yeah I always wondered why the Jewish media bosses at the big record companies stopped pumping money into Doug Stone as an artist, considering how many hits he had. As they say, "you gotta pay to play."
Doug Stone never got the recognition as one of the all-time country greats...he had twang finer than fine....as good if not better than Vince Gill, George Straight, Tim McGraw (my other favorites), etal who have all been dubbed as country royalty....Ohhhh, such a lovely man, filled with heart & soul...are you still with us, Doug? I seem to remember hearing you had died of a heart attack some years ago...hope I'm wrong...."From the Heart", one of my favorite country CD's ever..
Wow. Love this song. Doug Stone always do unique songs but this is excellent. Would praise it more as I listen to it over and over, but have to hit SHARE w/ my husband ;-) thanks Doug!!
LOL, I was just watching gordy, a movie e and my best friend used to watc alot when we were little, and I just noticed I liked this guy's voice and country music xD How weird is that? I haven't watch that movie in years, don't think it's too fantastic either xD
@mrfunderful I been looking for it for years now and i went to Walmart and after looking for so long I found it on DVD there so keep looking you will find it..
My 3 year old daughter has been watching Gordy everyday, three times a day for the last 2 weels and I fell inlove with this song!! Beautiful!! It now makes me think of my precious baby girl!!

ok, we got comcast ON DEMAND cable last week or so and they had 'Gordy' available on the 'free movies' list, and of course I had to check it out.
to be honest, the movie was really bad. sorry, but the acting was just horrible, but some scenes were kinda funny.
anyway, i still love the song!
