I give most of my music away for free under a creative commons license for non commercial use. I am happy that people want to download my music and share it. But if you can afford to pay and would like to help me and other struggling artists like me to make a living, then why not consider some of the alternatives, for example…. (See post below, and thankyou, we need your help and support.)
If you are looking for quality, original, hassle free, inexpensive, legal soundtrack music for your next Youtube video or short film....try "Rumblefish Friendly Music" Just follow the link in the "About Me" section on my page. Only $1.99 per track. (Some good songs...not just library music).
I wonder when the RIAA is gonna apologize to Sean Parker for jumping the gun on suing him? I guess I shouldn't hold my breath, though. We now know that it was TOTALLY UNNECESSARY! You have iTunes, monthly services like Rhapsody, and so many other options to get mp3s for cheap! It IS possible for the record industry to make some money off it. They can still stay competitive.
So why the need to sue? I mean, that's REALLY the only 'legit' reason they had. This bullshit about "copyright infringement" was just a cover for wanting protectionism from the courts.
I mean, if they knew the day after Napster was created that it wouldn't cost them much in profits AT ALL, would the record industry REALLY be in such a frenzy to stop it? I think not. I REALLY don't think businessmen who are concerned with one main goal (making lots of money) give a shit about legal technicalities like whether someone "stole our copyrighted material" or whatever. That's superficial, abstract bullshit that doesn't really matter in the long run. Who gives a fuck?
Or maybe groups like the RIAA really DO love the legal shit so much that they just can't help themselves when it comes to suing. They're ADDICTED to suing teens and young adults for file-sharing?
Spotify is another CIA asset , it is the track trace and database wet dream of CIA spying and info gathering , plus they sell your personal information daily till the end of time . Who do you think hacked face-book and released 100 million peoples profiles and passwords . All social networks are a information harvesting machine meant to identify useful idiots 1st and 2nd any decent , then isolate them and stomp them out n put them on Nazi type flying and travel watch list .
@TheSunsLight " ..then isolate them and stomp them out n put them on Nazi type flying and travel watch list"
Sounds like a plan, until you realize that everybody is probably on the watch-list including themselves.
It would eventually just become another really big file on how much everybody hates them.
IMO It's better in these days of economic hardship, if they made a file on those who really liked them; Single sheet of A4 & they can find insane asylums listed in yellow pages.
@marsCubed i wish you were right but the majority of people are lethargic at best , lost in fluff and loyal to the idiot box talking heads and painted lady's . :O(
@TheSunsLight "the majority of people are lethargic"
That might just be a sign the intelligence services are not working hard enough.
Maybe as they began to uncover more about all the various plots to undermine them, it took them beyond paranoid into self terrifying & utterly deluded psychotic driveling, ie Rumsfeld.
So maybe it's only sheeple conditioning trying to convince us were passive.
Notice that when they started making flight lists they came up with; oh heck.. we gotta frisk em all.
Spotify is actually in my list of best things that happened to me in 2011

You know, Napster isn't the only product that was really cool at launch, and then got worse over time.
