This was a case of turning a blind eye and making an excuse rather that digging for the facts and persisting. She was not the only girl who was assaulted around here at that time either. A woman my father knew was abducted and murdered in Sherbrooke during the same decade. It infuriates me that somewhere the monster who did these things might still be walking around and that someone who knows something may be able to give some closure so that Theresa and her family can finally be at peace.
@RockyG1978 Hi, I asked my father the name of the girl he knew and then I realized that it was the same as someone who is already listed on your site. Her name was Louise Camirand. She was in the military in Sherbrooke where my father also was. He said that she was last seen on or near the corner of King and Jacques Cartier in Sherbrooke until her body was later found. I'm sure I am not telling you anything you don't already know and apologize if i am wasting your time here...
@RockyG1978 It's interesting how stories in the news just sort of disappear and you never hear anything more about them. Just a couple of years ago I remember hearing on the news that a body covered with a blue tarp was discovered in Fontaine Bleu in the townships. I have never heard since of the identity of the person nor have I heard of any further investigation into it. I have searched on the internet and found nothing either which leads me to wonder just how many are swept under the mat.
@RockyG1978 I'm checking out the site now but it says it is a beta version and wants me search by URL. Also, I added you as a friend on FB yesterday so if you want I can send you my email address through there instead of going through youtube. Maybe you wouldn't mind sending me the right link to the site you are telling about?
@RockyG1978 Both my parents are in their sixties now and grew up in Sherbrooke. I'll ask them if they remember any other disappearances or murders at the time. I'd also like to tell you that I admire your courage and your persistence to continue as you have after all this time. You should never quit but I also hope that you have a rest once in a while.
If a girl from a poor family disappears in the UK the police ignore it. If she is from a well off family it is front page news. Nothing can be done about it.
Awww, I do feel bad for the police chief. At least he clearly is emotional and genuinely feels bad.
