what a crystal clear voice and effortless rendering. she can easily bring out the feeling so well that it looks as though she herself is actually facing the situation personally. a great singer at a young age and has lived up to her reputation of being the daughter of the greatest muscian. sometimes i feel she resembles in her voice with Begum Parveen Sultana. Yes. It is a lighter genere and the rigid rules of raga scale are sometimes relaxed to add more color. It looks easy but not everyone can sing Thumree. Listen to Shobha Gurtu. She was a great Thumree singer.
