I remember , I was coming home from the YMCA . The TV was on CNN , My dad said that MJ was in the in the hospital . I said , he's not gonna die . Then my dad & my brother yelled that he was dead . I didn't say anything . I went outside & everyone of my friends came outside & said he's dead . I just cried & cried I grew up to him . I maybe 15 but I grew around his music . R.I.P <3

@cebabygirl13 we just came back from LA the week before he died. i just came home from work, and i just tuned on to bet they announced that he died and i turned it to cnn and they dint confirm it yet, till fox news announced it then cnn. my dad cried his heart out. hes the BIGGEST MJ fan of all time. me and my family cried together and listened to his music all night.

I was leaving work that day when CNN Headline News announced that Michael Jackson was being taken to the hospital after suffering cardiac arrest. It looks like he passed away while I was on the way home and I was hearing about it from someone talking on his cellphone. By the time I got home, his death was all over the news. And man, it threw Farrah Fawcett's death off the main news.

I will never forget this day, it was so bizarre. I remember being at work getting ready to go home, mid-afternoon, and someone told us that Michael Jackson had a heart attack. When I got home, I turned on my computer, and that news hadn't changed yet so I was chatting with some friends online, before visiting an entertainment website, and it said that he was dead.

That was when I turned on CNN, and they confirmed it. I remember being too stunned to really react, I know we listened to a LOT of his music in the week leading up to the Memorial.. and the Memorial was when I cried for the first time. Gone, but never, EVER forgotten.

When I first heard about Michael Jackson died, I was at work and a co-worker said he died, but I did not believe it until I made a telephone call to my parents to tune into the news and they said yes it was true. When I got home from work I watched the news coverage for at least 3-5 hours on both CNN and Fox News. And I taped the news coverage off both channels that night.
