Great drum solo. Too bad the director (like the vast majority of directors) has NO *&@#$%!!! CLUE (!!!!!!!!!!!) on how to shoot a drum solo: shooting too-close-up, too-far-away, shooting from the front of the drums (you only see the drummer's face not his hands), too-close-up-then pulling back, shooting directly behind the drummer so all you see is his back and not his hands, going to the audience's reaction more than once or twice. Arrrrrrrgh! Knuckleheads...
Steve Ferrone makes todays "drummers" look utterly pathetic. Most of them cannot even spell SOUL, much less bring it to their music. Steve is a master of it.
yes of course steve ferrone os a master of it. He's very cool because he signed autographs to me ;) it is very close to the public, he remained humble even after the celebrity
I love his work with Clapton in 90´s ,he is my favortite clapton´s drummer ever . Steve Gadd is one of the best around but Ferrone was the drummer for Clapton.
@godzuki444 ... agreed , i love Ferrone with clapton as well , especially the unplugged blues thing they did .. some of the classiest drumming i have ever heard .... on a related matter , i do not like steve ferrone`s drumming with Tom Petty though ..i think he sounds stiff
Sweeeet.
Though Chambers can out funk and outplay Ferrone with little effort. Check out Pick Hits.
