  • i just got here because i searched ''fghodtijhntroyhjihy0[5t''

  • i didnt know there was a manual version of this car!! and so the city safety system also aplies the clutch!! WOW!!

  • Fiance is buying one in a few days...l thanks for the vid! Funny enough she lost her previous car in a rear-end collision! :)

  • actually.. when the car stop itself you have to push the stopping pedal, because it will accelerate again :)

  • Volvo, i have a proposition to you. Please give me Volvo XC60

  • Is it working with an manual gearbox?

  • actually, it stoppes it at 12mph or less not 10 like tom ford said at 0:28

  • aaa thats why all them old guys and french people drive this

  • @5british5 Old guys and french people... Hahaha!

  • i word awesome

  • HAHAHAHAHAAHHA 1:15

  • WHat happens if you're trying to park ? or get out of a space ? You'll be going less than 10 mph !

  • @TheCurlyHairedDude Seriously? I mean, are you really asking this question?

  • AWESOME! I love how he just dropped outta the car to demonstrate it

  • was that a mannual transmition?

  • it only works if your not pushing the gas? what?

    man thats fkn useless.

thank god though cause if they put this on cars traveling 50 miles per hour.

it would probably malfunction with lightning and reflections or something.

  • i got mine yesterday, and i have had to use it once already! VOLVO 4...ever!

  • @jaffacake1578 Is your Volvo good now?

  • @MrSpeedking13 yes... why?

  • @jaffacake1578 Im just asking, that's my favorite car.

  • @jaffacake1578 hey mate, so it stops when they take their foot off of gas pedal.. so is it stops even you are pushing the gas pedal ?

  • @441greenleaf no, it doesn't.. fords new version does though! take a look at the new ford focus with active city stop

  • @jaffacake1578 so whats the purpose of it ???, it sucks than =(((.. ford shoudlnt have a better technology than a volvo.. shit...

  • @441greenleaf what do you mean? of course ford has better technology... ford have always been better than volvo, well... so i realised 2 months ago... i had my xc60 for about 8 months, and it fell apart, and broke down, a very bad car that i liked at first, and the interior was ok but volvo let me down... :/ so now i have the top spec 2011 ford s-max.

  • It is really designed for where you at a junction (or particularly roundabouts) where you may glance at the car in front of you who you see is now moving and while you look at the traffic on the roundabout, the other car stops and you would perhaps go into the back of it. Lots of accidents happen that way.

  • of course it happens accidents in the UK, you drive on the wrong side of the road! lol!

  • Agreed, if you are f'in stupid enough to hit a car in that situation in the first place, you shouldn't be on the road in the first place. That said since the cops are too busy ticketing speeders rather than people that can't drive then I welcome a system that would have probably prevented me from being rear-ended by just such a dumb f#$k a couple months back.

  • there are so many idiots out there thats talk on the phone or something else when driving so this is for those idiots. and for those who got a idiot infront of them that slams the break when your looking at the hot chick bending over to pick up the banana she dropped.

  • HAHAHA, these guys are Crazy

  • Under 9 mpg it will stop you before you crash and under 19 mpg it will reduce the damage of an accident by like 40%. Above 19 mph it is turned off.

  • @coolcoolfp

Why are you talking about miles per gallon instead of miles per hour?

  • actually its below 19mph, not 10

  • i believe is 19kmph

  • well..in america its said that it works from speeds below 19mph...idk about the kph..

  • 19 mph and 30 km/h

  • okay.

  • If between 10 and 19 mph, it lessens the impact.

  • Awesome! This was at the LA Auto Show, and I've seen it work.

  • did they put the old dinger (seat belt chime) back into the XC60!! hahah..

  • i didn't hear it

  • They apparently did! :D

  • will it work, that is the question. :-)

  • Great action stunt :P Nice movie 5th gear!

  • best part of this video is the terrible orange blow-up version of the Golf 5

  • Really good!

But it would be even more impressive if they placed a REAL car infront of the XC60!

  • They have.
