  • 2:22 like that second cop jumping trying to do a backflip

  • 2:22 -Blues Brothers FTW

  • I used to love those music glitches in Driver 1. Like this one at 0:34

  • @Olanov the music glitches I thought it was my ps2 acting up but really the music sounds really cool that way.

  • @forestlock yeah. I love it.

  • Nice driving sir :]

  • Exellent

  • uh driv3r sucks on monkey balls, this game rules all video games on the planet. GO DRIVER WOooooooo.

  • Driver is such a legendary game XD

  • Driver rules !! Cop pursuits are much better than GTA !!

  • Yes! The GTA series is better overall but it is very difficult in those games to have an extended pursuit with a single cop car in tow. The police AI in GTA is pretty poor really and relies on rapidly spawning new police cars and flinging them at you in order to pressurize you at higher wanted levels.

  • Exactly ! Moreover that I liked in Driver, was the police reaction when u are in infrigement. In GTA u can drive on the wrong way at high speed, go through a red light, police leave u alone...

  • driver 1 was in the 80s? or 70s? or when

  • I think that Driver was set in the early 70s, Driver 2 in the late 70s, Driv3r in 2004 and Parallel Lines in 1978.

  • @csonicp wrong. drivers 1 & 2 were set in the 70s,and driv3r in the 80s,driver 4 in 1978 and 2006, and driver 5 in 2010.

  • wow u have a flat screen tv nice..

  • I use a Sony Bravia now but this was actually filmed on an old standard widescreen Sanyo 24" TV! I've still got it knocking around somewhere - doubt it would fetch much money now in this new age of LCDs and plasmas lol!

  • xDD LOL!

  • I forgot how awesome this game was

  • wonderful chase . it looks very real , which is very difficult in this game . also good cutting

  • Thank you for your comment, and thank you also for reminding me that there are still lots of very decent folk around! :-)

  • Pity for all these brain-wasted poor game infected retards. Lobothomyzed worthless lonesome turds...

  • There's always one. If you've got nothing positive or constructive to say, then don't bother. Your comment indeed defines the word 'worthless'.

  • drift away watchin this, like a film or summet, what a chase they give

  • ah, busted! But you did take out one cop car?

  • I think it kind of wrote itself off really when it came flying over the bridge upside-down at 2:26! Quite HOW it managed to do that, I'm not really sure lol! :-D

  • I remeber playing that Game when I was 10 and a good police Chase song

  • Haha, nice vid, love the annatations.

Good driving, I remember playing this game a long time ago, that were good times! :D

  • I miss that game so bad, I think I'll get a copy again.

  • If you can find a copy, go for it! ;-D

  • Driver is set in the 70's

Driver 2 was set in the 90's

and DRIV3R is set in the 21st Century.

  • None of the games make it clear as to when they were set, but I agree that the original is probably set in the early 70s and Driv3r in the time it was released (2004).

Driver 2 is trickier - personally I thought that it took place in the late 70s. Many of the cars that you drive (eg. the Challenger look-alike in Vegas) and many of the film references seen in the game (eg. the obvious homage to 'The French Connection' in the Chicago Train Pursuit mission) certainly seem to suggest this.

  • Driver Parallel lines came out in 2006/2007? wasn't it?

  • Parallel Lines was released in March 2006. The game itself is set in 1978 for the first half, then in 2006 in the latter half as the main character comes out of prison after 28 years seeking revenge on the gang who betrayed him.

It's a solid 8/10 game. Not as memorable as the PSOne classics but certainly miles better than Driv3r. The graphics were very decent, it had some great music and the story was brilliant, if a little short. I just wish that the on-foot sections were dropped altogether.

  • Driver 2 had two 80's version vehicles in Las Vegas, the ambulance and a PC. Driver 2 is in the 80's and DRIV3R was in the 90's so yep, the eras were right.

  • i always used to run out of film when making these things

  • Yeah i tried to do a replay like this one but it's out of sync so i done a replay in Los Angeles on a highway which isn't bad so i will remake it and turn it into a awesome one.

  • I was laughing my ass off when the guy in yellow just sit when the car ram the table , and more when the guy say "don't worry we often have car chases in this neighbourhood" , lol , and also great shooting !

  • Larger the felony, cooler the chase!

  • this song was my favorite in a video game ever!!

  • My Top 5 PSOne Games:

    1) Crash Team Racing

    2) Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped

    3) Driver

    4) Tomb Raider II

    5) Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon

I'd love to hear your views!

  • HAHA i remember this game bro..i was 9-10 when it came out now im 18 haha, I LOVED IT!!!

My step brother bought it for me (fell inlove with it)..

me and my friend Ashley loved cars and bikes and shit and being the first free rome car game you could imagine how much we played it. we could always find time for it wether it was between skating motor bike riding(yes i was riding motor bikes then haha)... and after this redictulously good game came out number 2 came out haha

    DRIVER is sik!!

  • Four words: Driver, San Francisco, Survival.

I said when I bought the game back in 1999 that I'd still be playing this minigame ten years from now, and - guess what - I still am!

  • Ah, wow, I remember that game. Good times.

  • the driver soundrrACK WAS GREAT

  • Yep! Especially the IMMENSELY funky title screen music!

  • Nice vid! The old Driver games are great, even driv3r was fun. Then they made parallel lines. Too much of a GTA clone.

  • I totally agree. In my opinion, GTA will always rule the 'sandbox' genre, and so if Reflections are going to make a Driver game for the current generation, they need to go back to what made the Driver series great in the first place ie. the car chases and the fantastic 70s setting and music.

Driver doesn't NEED the on-foot stuff - it just ends up in the same sub-GTA pile as Saint's Row, True Crime, The Getaway etc. Driver is a different game to GTA, and Reflections needs to realize this.

  • wonderful video! 5 stars and favorites.

  • Thank you very much indeed. It's so great to know that there are other people out there who appreciate the magnificence of the PSOne Driver games.

  • what the song???

  • As far as I know, the song doesn't have a name. It was composed by Allister Brimble especially for the game.

    Sounds great though, doesn't it?

  • Because if the truth, no way to get it there?

  • Sadly, I haven't found anywhere on the Internet so far where you can legally download Driver's PSOne music; only the music from the PC version.

  • A penalty truth, it is a beautiful song :(

  • I'm pleased to inform you that the entire soundtrack for the original Driver PSOne game has been posted on YouTube! Search for 'Driver Miami Night Cop' and you should find the song you're looking for.

My thanks go to nerdmastermind for making these songs public. Great work man!

  • Nice car chase and thanks.

  • great vid, 5 stars all the way!

  • Thank you very much! :-)

  • Damn I like that game) Sad, that you've crashed sometimes, but it's cool anyway.

  • I think that the crashes add a bit of extra cinematic quality to it! :-)

  • Nice Driving!

  • Cheers! :-)

  • 2:05

    That guy just sits there

  • He's used to the chases lol.

  • oh my mistake dis is driver 1

but they shud hav had the driver 2 cops in driver 1 and driver 1 cops in 2, cos d way is supposed 2 b dat a 2nd make of da game is supposed 2 be better

  • well i gues the DRIVER 2 in the USA is different to da one i have in the UK

the cops were white wit two red lights on top

  • AWSOME!!!

  • Great game

  • nice. I wuz a god at this game. always managed 2 get away! thanks

  • I had the cop difficulty set to 'Hard' here. It makes for much more exciting chases because it's harder to shake the law off!

Thanks for your comment, glad you liked it!

  • OMG bring back the memories, great video and great chase. this is goin to be the first game i play on ps3

  • Absolutely! The original Driver is a gaming classic and laid the foundations for every free-roaming crime game we play today. That said, I wish that Reflections would stop trying to be like GTA with the dodgy on-foot sections in Driv3r and Parallel Lines, and concentrate on making a pure 70s car chase game for the PS3.

Thank you for your comment BTW, it is appreciated. More soon! :)
