  • this is so beautiful. I cried

  • I''m not transgendered but i felt what they was talking abou ........i love this poem

  • I cried so much.

  • When I first saw this. On TV, on HBO. I cried. And my mom didn't understand. Because I feel the exact way. It scares me to know that someone goes through the same thing. But it makes me so happy that people know. This to me is so golden.

  • totes cried when i watched this

  • So it's about Charles Manson's music?

  • I think this poem is so clever!

  • I love this video, this poem. It makes me look at myself and how I used to feel. I'm so happy to be in college where my teachers call me by my new name :)

  • I love the performance. I don't think they were trying to gain support for "transgender", but rather express the struggle inside one person. We all fight a battle with ourselves. Hell, it could be wanting to eat cake when you have diabetes :) Or being biracial (like myself) and identifying with both races. To struggle with yourself and the world is a natural part of maturing, and I think they did an excellent job of reenacting what we all go through at some point in our lives! Good work ladies!

  • @pooterray they say at the beginning that its for transgender support. The rest of your statement and you can relate easily to internal struggles, but its clearly stated what its for.

  • @pooterray "transgender" stfu you asshole

  • I love when people write about us transgenders. So uplifting.

  • I love how her voice gets all raspy in the end, cause she's like... Losing her voice. lol. Shows dedication to her poetry. Awesome :)

  • where is this...know of any more??? (&thanks so much for posting)

  • they make our lives sound so dramatic, lol.

  • @watchoutfornargles I know that they adress the issues, but I feel like if it isn'ts omething that you have been through than it is hard to write about. It really is just my opinion, but I think they should write what they know. I am trans, and it is hard and they just do not portray it in the most accurate way that they could, I think.

  • @143fallingislikethis That is an assumption about their experience, though.

  • damn that's powerful.

  • oh my god. so... stunning.

  • Amazing!

  • That is bloody beautiful <3

  • Incredible.

  • WOW, what an amazing performance!!!!

  • so powerful, amazing, brilliant <3

    absolutely beautiful

  • This is absolutely beautiful. Moving. Brilliant.

  • Oh my word! I am woah!!!!

    Those feelings are real

  • i like how they're so passionate about this

  • This is retarded

  • @michaelhays92 You're retarded. That's why you don't get this.

  • @BloodOnThefuckingDF I may be retarded, but at least I'm a man.

  • @michaelhays92 And I'm a woman. So?

  • @BloodOnThefuckingDF Well men are obviously better than women, so there's my logic

  • @michaelhays92 Chauvinistic...

  • They could have had some pauses in between lines and stuff, it felt a bit rushed. Other than that.. absolutely brilliant. Transgenderism is something that everyone needs to understand and this makes it a lot more understandable. A passionate performance.

  • This is beautiful. I have felt every word before. And I cried near the end, when it showed them holding their hands. That image is all I've ever wanted to feel.

  • stupid

  • @ShayminFTW1 yeah, you are.

  • @ryuuseicha

yes, because i have an opinion and express it so i'm stupid

  • @ShayminFTW1 You didn't back up your opinion -_-, why do you think this video is stupid? Anyone can just write a statement, but you need to back it up to show us why we should consider you as an intellectual

  • @TanyaCreeps

i need to back it up or else it's not an opinion? okay.

all this "gay pride" shit is annoting because all it does it fluff up gay people's already massive egos. they complain that they want to be equal, but instead they expect to be whorshiped for being different, meanwhile they degrade the homophobes, or even just straight people, for having different opinions. all this "gay pride" shit is annoying because all it does it fluff up gay people's already massive egos. (continues)

  • @ShayminFTW1 I never said it wasn't an opinion. You have one and you shared it. Nothing wrong with that. It's the hatred behind it that's unfortunate. I'm not going to prolong this argument since clearly it won't go anywhere with you. Your statement "they degrade the homophobes" implies that you support them. Just saying.

  • @ShayminFTW1 you spelled annoying wrong :)

  • @supersaiyangrl3

    You spelled "girl" wrong.

  • @ShayminFTW1 uhh i spelled it dat way on purpose....duh :)

  • @supersaiyangrl3

you're most likely 14 and an idiot, judging by your spelling and use of smilies

  • Comment removed

  • @ShayminFTW1 haha no im def older nd im def nt an idiot lol i can alrdy tell im smater than you becuase you are all in your feeling when i really dont care :) so keep on its pretty funny how youre feeble mind works. its quite entertaining you shoud put yourself in cage and go do tricks at a local zoo :)

  • @ShayminFTW1 oh nd btw da onli idiots are people like you who judge and dont know what they are talking about..smh people like you always make my day... have a nice day ass hole :)

  • @supersaiyangrl3

    point proven

  • @TanyaCreeps

they may not be as "open-minded" as you, but their opinion matters as much as yours. you don't even have to agree, just accept the fact that omg people have different opinions!!

  • @ShayminFTW1 I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with you here. Just trying to resolve the previous argument in which you stated the video was "stupid" and expected not to get a response. So you thought it was stupid, and then got angry that someone called you stupid. So instead of getting upset and avoiding future moments like this, defend your opinion.

  • @TanyaCreeps

    >implying I was upset???

  • chills.

  • This is very powerful to me because I haven't felt right in my own body. I don't think I'm transgendered, but for those that are, they are immensely strong people.

  • this is pure truth

  • Woah. That was bloody awesome!!

  • this poem is powerful. It gave me a new look on ppl they was talking about

  • Tears

  • Tears, man.

  • I do like this poem, and they are amazingly talented, but being transgendered is so much more than "wearing a tux to prom." It is hard, and sad, and hopeful and so many things that I think this poem didn't adress well.

  • @143fallingislikethis you're kidding, right? did this poem not adress how hard and sad it is? it wasn't really about the tux at all...

  • Holy shit. That is amazing. Oh my. That's.. Beautiful.

  • this is amazingly beautiful. gets me every time i watch it.

  • I love this so much. It was just beautiful. I'm speechless. :)

  • This is beautiful.

  • This almost brought me to tears. I wish there were more accepting people like these two and that whole crowd. What amazing people.

  • I hope this is obvious, but please don't call someone "hir" if they do not wish to be called "hir". Thanks.

  • Chills again

  • fuck im in tears right now. this poem is a masterpiece and their performance was with such passion and inspiration. it truly speaks to me in a way that i know not everyone will shun me for being transgendered. i love this

  • OMG i'm in tears. Thank goodness no one is around.

  • our teacher showed us this video in class and i havent stopped watching it ever since tat was an inspiring poem

  • I get chills whenever I hear this...

  • Gives me chills every time

  • WOW! Speechless! LOVED IT! I wish EVERYbody could hear this cuz it speaks such truth!

  • i fell in ove with this poem the first time i heard it it iss sooo inspiring

  • Their emotion was stunning.

  • this is amazing

  • Holly *S WORD*.... I have choose bumps. this spoke to me.. Like im in a puddle of flowers glossing through the winds and clouds.

  • Uhm, ?

    I Got really Confused. :/

  • Jesus. That was utterly, utterly breathtaking. I am so AWED by this. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

  • Yep! I cried.

  • This gives me chills every single time. I have a friend who's transgendered, I love them to death. ♥ Twelve people are extremely stupid and apparently don't understand the word "Acceptance."

  • @hiswynterprincess

you need to stop assuming. it is a video. someone might not like the video even if they support the message. stop being ignorant.

personally i did not like the performance. regardless if the message i did not like how it was performed. and then there is a feedback option. did i like what i saw? no, the performance was in my opinion not good. so i disliked. and you should respect that. so get down from your moral high horse or you are just as bad as the people you judge.

  • @hiswynterprincess Using "them" as a pronoun is improper in this scenario. Your answer is invalid.

  • Brings me to tears every single time I watch

  • This poem made me cry, it gave me chills, people who are against transgendered people need to listen to this, this certainly makes one feel what they go through. <3

  • Incredible...

  • this, is....AWESOMEEEEEEEE :D

  • all i can say is...wow.

  • one word.."WOW"..I got chills watching this video

  • Philly!!

  • I can't stop watching this. It makes me cry every time. I can't get over how much these words relate to me.

  • ...I dont know what to say, this struck me so deep.

  • mindblowing! What talent!

  • chills. I actually have chills right now. that was amazing.

  • My god. This was so intense. To everyone out there going through this, I WISH YOU EVERY LUCK IN THE WORLD AND ALL MY LOVE.

  • @Cobbledstories Wow thanks! :-D

  • As a transgendered male to female my self this hits very close to the heart. I'm one of the lucky few whose whole family is supportive and have a great support group to go to for my therapy.

  • Story of my life....I wish i was born a boy...I've gotten people to Call me Derrick now but sadly girls still look at me as a girl...even though i have a masculine jaw, padded down chest, and masculine features. I always am able to pass until i open my mouth...I have an unusally high pitched voice...smh! Cant wait till i move out and can have the surgery!

  • @nzrockitgirl What surgery? Like, SRS or something?

  • -This Is Amazing

  • This was AWESOME

  • thank you so much.

  • This is..... amazing. I started crying halfway through, so much emotion packed into it.

  • I cried when I heard this. As an FTM... I am so affected by this. People MY age who actually understand.

  • Comment removed

  • That raw emotion... so fucking beautiful. Thank you.

  • inspired. thank you so much - that was amazing.

  • THIS WAS A VERY GOOD POEM!!!!! I ALMOST CRIED VERY DEEP!!

  • They talk too fast for me to be able understand half of it. Wish my English was better. :(

  • shoot, enough said.

  • Shivers ran up my spine. Even though I'm a supporter of LGBTQ, I never really realized how hard it is for transgendered people to be confident, or to break through, but this... This made me realize. I'm bisexual, but this was beautiful, and I will never forget it. Tomorrow, I'm giving my transgendered friend the biggest hug ever, because hir deserves it.

  • @textingnonstop1 I just wanted to clarify: the phrase would be "transgender people" or "trans people," not "transgendered people." Also, "hir" is used in place of "her" and "his." The gender neutral pronoun replacing "she" and "he" is "xie" or "ze."

I mean absolutely no disrepect! I just wanted to clear that up. I'm glad you found this video so inspiring. I love it, too. :)

  • @textingnonstop1 awwwww <3

  • Yeah, I'm crying over this. This poem is beautiful and amazingly intense.

  • im hir

    loove it !

  • amazing

  • This hits home really hard. I cannot put into words how much I appreciate that this poem exists. It makes me feel understood.

  • Love it

  • Comment removed

  • I am crying <3 brilliant <3

  • - She doesnt paint her face because her whole body is painted on! Thatsss so deep smh....

  • This is brilliant. I cried.

  • <3

  • This presentation brings me joy. The poem itself is tragic and brilliant at the same time, and it's amazing that you almost feel the sorrow, pain, and confusion. It's like this whole time you're rooting for James and, in the broader spectrum, transgenders, and more than that, everyone who's afraid to just be themselves. But, most of all I like that this could be done by two young ladies who simply have an open mind. Great things happen when we try to just understand one another.

  • @PolytheisticDeities - Thank you for your lovely comment hun. It is 3rd April 'Mothers Day' today here in England and your comment and other people's comments mean so much to me. I have always told my children to follow their dreams and never give up on what they beleive in. And i say that to all of you here who have commented also. If there are people who dont wish to understand, then its their problem - not yours. I hope your life is full of peace and happiness xx

  • When people think theyre bats, we treat them rather than telling them that theyre right.

  • I can honestly say that I do understand.

  • @thaOFFICIALJAPAN

Thank you for your comment sweetie. I hope you follow your dreams and desires and may your life be full of peace and happiness xx

  • Oh my god... this made me cry.

  • This is so strong, so beautiful. It brings me to tears. As a female to male transgender, this really makes me feel better and it shows that there are others out there who feel the same or similar things.

    Amazing job!

  • I keep watching this on repeat. Phenomenal.

  • This poem gives me goosebumps...itz amazing

  • made me tear up...goodness

  • God doesnt make mistakes...Great poem.

  • @jason36463771 Exactly! which is why they say, "God put me in this body trans gendered."

  • I am an FTM, This video.... It shows me that others know how i feel.

  • ...wow. that's all I can say.

  • amazing <3

  • nothing short of amazing

  • im not transgendered but if i havnt found this video. i wouldnt understand most of the ppl who are close to me nowz..beautiful and well spoken that it touched me<33

  • when alysa's voice cracks and sounds hoarse...it gets at me. beautiful lyricism. beautiful words.

  • this is who i am.. i can't tell you how much i love this video.!!!!!!!!! thank you for showing this to the whole world. the 6 ppl who disliked this video. don't understand

  • THIS is great, its awesome these things are being addressed

  • I'm sorry if this seems ignorant but is Melissa born female or was she born inbetween the two genders. I just would like someone to explain this a little bit.

  • @moonlightfury101 Melissa was born female but doesn't feel or identify as a female, and wants to be who she feels she is, James.

  • @moonlightfury101

"Melissa" was born in a female body, but your body doesn't define who you are. "Melissa" is actually "James", a boy. The poem is about his struggling in this body that he hates, this body that doesn't fit his mind.

  • This is so inspirational, it moves me to tears. I applaud this girls, this is amazing.

  • i have listend to this many times and for the 40 time watching this it still brings a tear to my eye :D it i amazing that they had to will power and the strength to stand up there and do tht

  • Aysha did Cupid in a War Zone I believe, she's very good

And Alysia is the same one that did That Girl, isn't she? That one is one of my absolute favourites

  • I'm trying not to cry. that's how i feel everyday at school all the time. when my old friends talk to me and i scream my name in my head at them. this poem is beautiful and reminds me how awesome poetry and people can be

  • this is my favourite poem.

  • THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is so moving, and touching. One of the greatest pieces of work to make the world a better place to understand

  • 6 pieces of human TRASH didnt like this

  • Movies, poems, songs and stuff like that have a hard time moving me to tears, but this never fails to make me cry

  • Literally gives me chills. A great piece and an absolutely wonderful performance!

  • THAT WAS MAINEY!!! Super emotional and very well performed!! *snaps* ELEVATED!!!

  • WOW!

  • It is so so SO fucking rare that I get my identity as a transgender youth validated at all, but this does more than that - it speaks to some of the struggle that I went through growing up, and some of the struggle that I still experience.

  • I am soo glad that I misspelled "hair" and wrote "Hir" in the search box instead and got the chance to listen to this. It's so beautiful

  • omg... that was beautiful
