Man I've messed with COUNTLESS exhaust combos on my 05 GT. Right now I have American Thunder Classics (the black square 40 series) with Pypes off road H. It sounds awesome except for around 2500RPM with moderate throttle it sounds like rocks rattling around in a tin can. Does this setup do that? It appears you have the American Thunder 60 series direct bolt ons(more rounded/less aggressive mufflers)? Sorry for all the questions, just trying my damnedest to get this sound LOL. HELP! :)
@jlrenew84 Thank you for the comment! These are the 40 series American Thunder's. My set up does not sound like that. It sounds like you have a baffle that has broken in one or both mufflers. I remember seeing a video on here on a Mustang that had this problem. I believe Flowmaster had a recall on those mufflers. How old are your Flowmasters?
@scotts01Z71 They are actually fairly new and when I went back to stock H the mufflers sound great. I have American Thunder Classics stainless steel so they shouldn't have the issue the early aluminum ones did. Do you have an email address?
@scotts01Z71 I don't think my last message went thru. They are fairly new and they are the stainless steel square black mufflers. They don't make that horrific sound with the stock catted H. I've also tapped the mufflers with a mallett and no rattles either. I'm clueless now... LOL... Do you have an email address?
@IrishChris1979 Thank You! I listened to many Set ups with X-pipes and H-pipes on Youtube before deciding on this combo. A bit loud but the head turning rumble is worth it. Lol!
@scotts01Z71 Haha. Just do what I do, sell your body and poor it all into your vehicle lol. I feel like I do that even more now that I am married. Gotta make some one happy to spend all that money lol.
@Fite234 Ahahahahaha! I know what ya mean, been married for 14 years. This is actually my wifes car. I have taken a break from my TA to get this one knocked out of the way. It's a lot easier since it Is already built and to just throw bolt on's at It. My TA, ehhhhh not so much... Building It from the ground up, Im In no hurry on It.
@Xarmy187 Yeah Ive heard them with the X-pipes. They have a real bad raspy sound to them. I might just go with a supercharger when the warranty expires. That sucks on the spun bearing. Thanks for checkin out the vid!
Cool.. looks and sounds great! ;) So you have flows not Mac's right? I just went from Flows to Mac's and now its even louder then before. lol..
This old guy at the gas pumps today said, That car's got some power huh? I said yea a little... haha. He said, well I can feel the ground shaking over here! I ... LOL'd...

The may be one of, if not the best sounding S197 mustang's I've ever heard! I thought it would be raspy with the O/R H but it really sounds great!

X-pipes on the 05+ mustangs make them sound horrible, but obviously H-pipes are where its at!
now when are you gonna add some REAL power, like a supercharger? haha
my latest mod for my old hunk-a-junk 5.0 is a spun bearing! what fun!
