I grew in a very similar set up with 6" pipe. Only problems I encountered was root blockage and difficulty in cleaning the system out. I tried sponges on sticks and scouring pads to remove sticking roots from inside the pipes.
I changed over to PVC Electrical Trunking 150mm wide x 75mm deep. Because the electrical trunking has a "Snap On" lid it's easier to clean and adapt with spacings. If things got a little blocked I could tidy the root system..
Thanks....That system produced really well, but the new and improved system I built this year at my new place is even better including an aquaponics system. I'll be posting another video in about a week. If you go to "Otterponics" on Facebook, there are lots of photo's. If you don't grow in water...you Otter.
Maybe its me, but the video stopped around 4:50 seconds in... anyone else having this issue? Love the setup and info, thank you! What nutrients are you using?
@monteros I know it's a really late reply but just move the slider along just a little let it reload from that point and play. It's a youtube thing sometimes. Cheers.

Do you have to transplant the plants into dirt and planter pots when they get to a certain size? Do they react well or do you have a lot of loss?
