@TiipX Thank you so kindly for the very nice words. The hardest thing about losing my uncle is that on my birthday back in 2010 (July 29th), I'd just received a job offer which was the start of what seemed to be a great birthday to come. When I returned back home, I was preparing for a concert in which they were playing until I was told to call my mother immediately, She had informed me that he had Stage 4 Metastic Lung Cancer. Thank once again and may God bless you and all the other Y&T fans.
@NForcerSA That's very sad to hear. Y&T were at the Sweden Rock Festival in June 2010 and i was so disappointed cos' i couldn't go. I have seen videos from that very gig and they did a cover of Dio's "Rainbow in The Dark" as a tribute since he passed away earlier that year. It's sad that Phil had to join Ronnie so soon.. He was an outstanding bass player, and he seemed to be a loving person. It's sad that the ones who least deserves it is taken from us too early. Good luck, and take care!
@Baghdadbob5892 That makes TWO of us! In my opinion, maybe being a music fan IN the modern era IS a bad idea or move, huh? Looking back, grunge KILLED or spelled "the end" for music, PERIOD!
Holy shit, i wan't to live in the 80's! When AIDS were nothing serious, and the chicks were topless at the beach. The music. God, i'm about to cry about not being able to go back in time... if not... does someone have a DeLorean for sale??!
@NonPlayer. Um, Van Halen OPENED for VH in the 70's. Y&T's 4+ decade longevity, profound respect among their music peers & HUGE catalog speaks for itself...
Heaven help me if this song ever came on the radio when I was driving a car. That's a guaranteed speeding ticket!!! I would try to shove my foot through the floor!!!!
Oh yeah I was fully aroused during most of the '80s and this video definitely was part of the reason! That and my well endowed step-sister that shamelessly tortured me with her constant nudity! Even today she still hits on me, but she just doesn't do it for me now lol..
richamos1970 4 months ago
---
She tortured you with her nudity whenever you were hiding in her closet. She also tortured you when she put her soiled panties in the clothes hamper, and that was EVERY day. What a ho, man. ;-)
This song reminds me of my time wisely used at Party's , Concerts and on the Board Walk by tower 13 Mission Beach through the early eighties. It was a suprise any of us graduated from High School or kept our jobs during that time.
I started playing in a band in high school in the 80's. Had a band that played at all of the high school dances and we used to say to each other that we had more fun then any high school kids should be allowed to have!
Are you kidding me? This is Y&T?!!? I used to have the album Strikes by Y&T and it was hard rock with an edge. This is so white bread popsy and the video was really gross. Damn, man. Y&T never got really big in the US anyway. If they had, this song and video would have ruined them as bad as Billy Squier's video did to him when he ripped off his cutesy tank top.
@MrGuerorocker This is so white bread popsy and the video was really gross. Damn, man.
--
This is the kind of song that even Van Halen shouldn't have done. Wouldn't be surprised if Y/T were ripping Beautiful Girls or something. Unfortunately, songs like that sold albums and got played on the radio back then.
Yet another great reason why I was born 20 years too late. The town I live in is in shambles now and the music I listen to is out of production, although it's still in style for the most part in the Midwest.
Agree with a lot of the comments here. 80's into early 90's was a lot of great fun music, and great times. Also doesnt hurt that I was a teenager in the 80's
@PupuTheClown I dunno. I lived thru both and the 70s just had too much financial craziness...I remember waiting in gas lines with my Mom in 79....that sucked..lemme tell ya.
@67tomcat damn right man!! lets staret telling these young white guys that; hey its not ok to act like your some black hoodlum from south chicago!!! get a fucking guitar and grow your hair right fucking now and do your part to kill this vacuous rap/hip hop/r and b/electro pop shit!!!!!
@EldinElko Dude the girls didn't have to work out to look like that. And there was a unspoken wave that they wore that kinda bikini just to turn a dude's head. Now you are some kind of alien from the worst world to even venture a look at a chick that way period. Muscle cars had it then too; buy a 70 Chevelle SS running good for $600. Those where exciting times to be young, I was 22 then.
I was in my 20s when this first came out, had just bought a new house and MTV was still in it's early years - my friends would sit around after work drinking beer and watch MTV- this was getting airplay there as well as the other greats- back when MTV was actually Music Television. Great times!
@lom3ardo Couldn't agree more. I graduated HS in 85...it was the best time to be alive. Party, concerts, girls...how much fun was one guy allowed to have..lol...It's over....but I still get a little taste every now and then.
@lom3ardo I agree with you 100%! I was born in '59 so I was in my 20's in the 80's and man it was heaven. As I think back on all of the great times I had, going to concerts going skating going out with beautiful girls going to clubs man life couldn't have been any better. The music was tops!Course I love the 70's music too being in high school and a teen but the 80's had it all.Disco was still in the early 80's and we had rock metal pop techno new wave,so what more could anyone ask for? To be there
@thecoolestdad your gonna make me cry dude!! its like i can remember the death throws of the eighties from my pre teens and then along came rap and kurt cobain and fucked it up for my generation!! ive gotta go back in time!!!
is it just me or does his voice kinda sound like david lee roths. just a thought. and i was definitely born in the wrong definition. im 16 and i wish i was born in the 50s so i could be old enough to enjoy this musical time
This video always perks me up a bit! I remember the review in Kerrang magazine around '85/'86 time for this record saying not only does it sound like, but IS Van Halen's 'Jump'... Its always made me love it more for that reason. Good times!
to all of yaw that couldnt live thru the 80s as a teenager with us............................................... SUCKS TO BE YAW.(lol) we had it all,big hair, good music, never ending parties w/o guns, burnt brain cells, hot women.living like the bands taught us. what a trip it was.
@nettiepaul70 "sniff sniff".... its not fair!! i hit puberty when shitty nirvana and rap music was coming in to kill what was left of popular metal!! (guns and roses, skid row, winger etc....) i need a fuckin time machine so i can go back to a time when you didnt have to act like a retarded negro gangster to get some decent pussy!!!!
Ahhhh this brings back memories. Hanging out at the beach with some buds beer and yer friends, checking out babes and hoping to get lucky. Damn I wish I was 18 again.
@86camaromike good for you for sayin it bro!! we gotta tell the fucking corporate music machine that we aint listenin to theor production line r and b/image pop/hip hop bullshit anymore!!! go buy VH's a different kind of truth!! diamond dave isnt what he was back in the 80's but the songs on the album kick ass cause their mostly reworkings of 70/80's un released stuff!!! fucking adele winning 6 grammy's?!?! wtf's that about?!?!?! boring, shitty times for music these days man!!!!!!!
@TheMetalman57 How is so...... read this words, example people with less than 10 years saying I want 80´s
so amazing to see a 5 years boy one time saying Mother I don´t want list to your "crap", I just want to listen 80´s music, listen about one girl bad mental and brain formation, shake with Heavy Metal 80´s, and get angry with another kind of..... from nowadays, is ... people with 16 years saying the most important films for me are STAND BY ME, GOONIES, BACK TO THE FUTURE, and others, people
@HeavyMetal80sRules i think i agree with what your tryin to say dude...? remind me to help you translate it into english some time... (no offence meant, im sure ur english is better than whatever your native tongue might be...)
More about the little boy saying, mother I want Twisted Sister, I want Scorpions, I want a black , T-shirt, with a cellphone play 80´s music, so sad to see his mother repressing, and say Twisted Sister they are...pedophiles, and drugged, and great again, the little boy said They are not you are lain to me just to make me listen to what you listen, I don´t want your "crap".... 80´s is so............................
@TheMetalman57 and 2XL!! 8track little robot smart ass. He was stuck up. Thought he was better than everyone...so i unplugged his ass ! push a,b or c NOW!!! Little bastard!!
@TheMetalman57 ya dude how do u think i feel im 14. the girls dress like whores now but theyre all night riders and they all listen to screamo or pop shit. none of those songs are fun to listen to like if whenever i try to listen to them. its soulless its retarded you cant ride down the rode listening to it. but the songs from the 80s you could roll down the highway chillin to van halen or Y&T or fastway or junkyard. anything from the 80s
@TheMetalman57 dont you just eat your hart out listenin to these guys 10-20 years older than us dude?!?! what do we get?!?! fucking eminem and a different pre pubescent gay ass boy/girl pop band every month!! and whats on so called MTV?!? reality shows fucking low lives from new jersey or people with too much money and now fuckin talent or brains!!!!! aaaarrrrgggghhhh!! we all need time machines!!!

Yea, I hate to tell you but if you missed the 80's, you missed it all. The 80's and first part of the 90's was the best time to be 18-25.

@lom3ardo Couldn't agree more. I graduated HS in 85...it was the best time to be alive. Party, concerts, girls...how much fun was one guy allowed to have..lol...It's over....but I still get a little taste every now and then.
davehutchinson67 2 months ago 2
@lom3ardo I agree with you 100%! I was born in '59 so I was in my 20's in the 80's and man it was heaven. As I think back on all of the great times I had, going to concerts going skating going out with beautiful girls going to clubs man life couldn't have been any better. The music was tops!Course I love the 70's music too being in high school and a teen but the 80's had it all.Disco was still in the early 80's and we had rock metal pop techno new wave,so what more could anyone ask for? To be there

@lom3ardo Agreed. The 90's were a great time to be in your 20's and the 80's were a pretty uncomplicated time to be a teenager, all in all.

This video always perks me up a bit! I remember the review in Kerrang magazine around '85/'86 time for this record saying not only does it sound like, but IS Van Halen's 'Jump'... Its always made me love it more for that reason. Good times!
stuh1975 4 months ago
@stuh1975 HOLY SHIT! It is "Jump!" I bet Diamond Dave scammed all their groupies as revenge!
I saw these guys open for Motley Crue in something like 1985, but I can't honestly remember much of it.

Always loved this video! Thanx for posting. My favorite part was always 1:20, where the hot, heavy metal babe is pouring Valvoline on herself.
