God who at sundry times and in diverse manners spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (Hebrews 1:1,2)
Christ was a prophet as well, you're right. But that doesn't say that he is the last of all prophets God will ever send. Who are you to speak for God?
I will take as much revelation that God is willing to give me. Again, who are you to say that God can and never will speak again. Because God is God, He will do as He will. How dare you say what He can and cannot do.
What saith Scripture? Young's Literal Translation puts it this way; "In many parts and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets, in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He did make the ages; who being the brightness of his glory and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also all things by the saying of His might- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down hat the right hand of the Greatness
Well, God chooses him. But to explain more than that, he starts our being called as an Apostle in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. As time goes on, he either dies or lives on. Since he's in the Lord's hands, he may or may not make it to the presidency. Just depends on God's will. So, whoever is the Senior (longest serving) Apostle when the previous prophet dies, he becomes the next prophet.
So brother, god works through prophets always...I think thats a fair statement....one could argue that god works through the prophets in the bible always, if our mouths are the swords and we know the word of god being the bible then I would say very much that the prophets are still doing their jobs long since they have been gone. the other thing is that moroni will be at the seat of christ upon judgment, jesus is the only way into heaven, not through good deeds or by facing moroni or smith.
Explain James 2:17 then. And I never said that we need to go through Moroni or Joseph. Christ is our Redeemer. Only by His Atoning Sacrifice may be we saved into heaven.

Scripture is clear here. Final revelation is in Christ 'Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature'...(Colossians 1:15)
For it pleased the Father that in him should all the fullness dwell...(vs 19).
What more revelation do you want?

Thank you for your testimony. Yes, we have living true prophets in our days.
