@BloodlessLeek63 scare? no. this bike isn't scary at all, the kx 500 that I ride is a little more scary than this bike will ever be. After a while though everything looks like slow mo for me. As for the shake my camera is a little more sensitive than most and apparently it looks like I have parkisons when I don't.
@thelaughingman79 its nothin insane I wish there was more power but for what it is there's way more power than stock and its still fun. If I had things my way financially right now id step up to a 330.
@rjs89ia i don't know.. people have told me that an esr 310 kit has more power than the ct racing 330 kits. anyways that should be good for 45hp+ more than enough for me on 3 wheels he he
@coshyno I'm not completely sure, I bolted the esr cylinder on to a loaded bottom end that had time on it I wasn't completely sure how many hours were on the bottom but after about 6 months of riding the lower rod bearing gave out. I've yet to rebuild the engine but I ran it hard when it did run.
@megatron2015 I've never ridden an sx but I probably wouldn't be mistaken when I say the R does double speed of an sx. I haven't confirmed mine with my gps yet but I bet with another tooth on the front sprocket I'd easily be in the high 70's or low 80's
@megatron2015 With more teeth on the front sprocket it makes a higher top end speed while sacrificing low end performance in my case I've got enough power to make up for that. If there were less teeth in the front you would increase your acceleration but would go slower on the top end but it would be quick and snappy getting there. For the rear sprocket its opposite having more teeth would make it slower and having less is faster.

@Motomadman43 inverted forks would be ok i just rebuilt the forks with stock seals, i just put the first ride on em this past weekend, i like the stock stance and look just needed to change up the engine, more power= more fun. in the future when the timing aligns for me im gonna buy an HRC ST kit to transform it into a nice short track bike.

@mr47uk08 the honda racing oil i was using and the 100LL av gas is blue. Its now straw colored because i switched to maxima castor927 burns a lot cleaner. I'll be switching over to vp110 fuel with the high compression dome when i get the engine back together
@motosporttouring yea stock tires, but not original too the bike, rear wheels are later models 87-89ish golds a little lighter on the rears compared to the 85 front wheel, the tire and wheel up front are stock but the tires worn out ive got a custom 10inch polished aluminum wheel for the front now and some polished douglas wheels for the rear, gotta wait a while to get some new videos the 310 motors down and im kind of overhaulin everything at once while im workin on the motor

@zachariaswhiteboy1 dont be in a hurry to turn your bike into a gold mine, everything ive bought for my bike has came off of ebay with the exception of a few parts from the honda shop, i had to wait patiently for quite a while before i could actually do any riding the waiting help save more money and it paid off by waiting for a cheap deal, ebay is a good place to find parts and checking classifieds on forum sites like 3wheelerworld could help you out too
@zachariaswhiteboy1 one more thing if you do decide to buy your parts on ebay always do you research before you buy something, i grew impatient only once before and ended up losing a lot money because i failed to ask any questions about a used item that ended up being junk. anything thats used always pay attention to detail and ask questions, try to watch similar items before hand to see what they sell for to see if you'll save, and do some simple google searching to compare prices
I have the same bike and i just put a brand new piston in it and when i start it it sound like the piston is slapping and knock but i have listen to this one overe and over and mine sounds the same but i dont know i have takien my apart hella times and i wanted to know if that is a normal sound...and also where did you get the silver coated top end...also do you have boysenn reeds in yours cause i am about to put like 800 bucks into it and i wanted to know if it is worth puting in new reeds..
@zachariaswhiteboy1 sounds like you might have the wrong piston if its making a bunch of noise, have you measured everything to make sure its the correct size piston and rings, also check your rod for any play should be almost zero play at the big end of the rod that connects to the crank if you place your crank to the top and try pulling the rod up and down like the piston travels you shouldnt be able to move it except for a tiny bit
the reason my top end looks silver is because its cast aluminum from ESR aka eddie sanders racing, its their own in house big bore cylinder. i bought mine off of ebay with low time a while back and it was cheaper than list price but now you can pick it up for 500 looking at the website, its the lesser of all the kits but still a good bang for the buck........i run a boyeson rad valve with carbon reeds and a 10mm spacer plate i replaced the reeds with new when i bought it,
looks great dude,very clean :) i like it....where can i order a clutch upgrade....i just got my esr 310 power valve cylinder (trx9 port job /gas pump)..its in a box sitting in my room..im not going to put it on until i get my esr atc5 pipe and new reeds,and i might get the keihin 40.5 mm carb...but once i get her all together ill have to upload a clip for ya :)
@247RIOT when i bought my bottom end it actually came with it so i didnt need to buy a kit. i've seen the clutch upgrades on ebay they usually run around 80, you could probably find the part number and check the honda shop but im not sure if they're still available and if so from the dealer its gonna be pricey i'd just check ebay for one or wait for one to get listed.
@scrambler250r Yeah it changes the regular single ball bearing to a thrust needle bearing. it makes a big difference my stock 250 engine is all original and it was a bear to pull the clutch, on the 310 its really smooth, takes one finger to pull. Some of the weight depends on the pressure plate springs too.
@kxlover26 yea i know i wanted to get one amidst all of my crazy parts buying back when i was buildin it but now ive got a few more important bills. esr keeps raising the price on the pipe too which is uncool but someday i plan to get one but until then the fmf will work great
That whistling sound... dont worry about it. my dad had a CR 250 that did thwe same thing... the motors werent that different even with your 310 kit on it.

@72cutlass442 performs pretty well pulls hard off the bottom and a lot of power up top my cylinder has the trx9 porting but could use a good port clean up and polish to wake it up a little more, been having issues with air intake it pulls a lot with the 310 and i was trying to keep the air box complete but not possible i scrapped the lid and that helped a lot along with a new uni filter but ill probably have to get an air box delete to pull all of the potential
@abh010 hi i havent toyed much with the timing yet so im not completely sure what kind of performance gains it implies but it does give you a large area of adjustment in both advanced and retarded positions. when i start testing some diff. setups ill be sure to let you know the results
