Way too much clutter on the screen for it to be considered good for navigation. Not too many people would want to have a 3D building block their view of navigation line.

well, i don't know if i can speak for other asian countries, but in korea, gps has to be designed that way to work and make it more practical... there are so many roads(car & passenger) those don't have actual street names. you would know what i am talking about if you've lived there... Anyway, those buildings really don't reflect the real ones... those are fake..

The advantage is if you can turn it off is that when in doubt, you can always look at the buildings on the screen for a visual clue. Sometimes, especially in the US, the street signs leave a lot to be desired

this navigation is for the passenger.. not for the driver..!! It's very distracting (like many user had already said)..!

there good if you want to see a over lay of a city and stuff, but personaly i like the gps becuase i can see the streets around me and get a good view of the area. But im sure there is a option to take those sky scrapers off. Its very distracting

Actually it's not just Korea that has this type of GPS. Japan has been using this for a few years. It only works primarily in the cities. All the cabs there have it. All new cars with navigation has it. Even the low end aftermarket models have it. Hope this helps.
