  • I played baritone sax in high school jazz band. This was one of our favorite charts. It was a real crowd pleaser during performances. Woody made some really great contributions to jazz, I really like his style. Thanks for posting.

  • I played bass in h.s. jazz band before going professional. i played this arrangement in 1978. brings back a lot of memories!!! my 1978 Precision Bass through an old blonde Fender Bassman amp the school had. wow.

  • We also played this is stage band in 1975. I played the soprano sax part on tenor, right before I bought my first soprano sax. I was so used to playing the solo on tenor, we kept it that way.

  • Thanks for posting this awesome video! I met Woody in Houston in 77. He was one of the nicest guys you could meet. I wonder who is playing lead. When I saw him in Houston, Jay Sollenberger had just joined the band.
