It looks like a good way to troll, but I'm not sure why you'd want to do this when you can still very easily punish those cyclones in so many other ways.
wow, that was something real special!! i have never seen that done before and this is a very nice video! thanks for showing players something new(well atleast to me) maybe players can try this in a real match that would be nice to see!!
peronally I think this is pretty wasteful use of your ex bars. I mean its fun, and looks flashy enough. but considering how easy it is to slide under, or backflip into your helicopter grab, I probably wouldn't use this. it would work in a pinch if you failed an attack and the Gief player when into a lariat, but really thats about it.
I think this can only be made on the training because, if you use the EX, you'll lose your super gauge, so you can only hit with the ultra, i'm not a el fuerte player(E Honda player) but nice vid!
Nice video, and ignore the elitist here. Sometimes you need to take risk and think outside the box. This is something at an advance level, so many will not find it practical unless its something simple and safe... spammable moves.
Well these guys do have a point in one sense that without precision timing, its not something you should consider doing at a tournament etc. because its more risk than reward in most cases.
Having said that, I ended up coming back and winning a game by using this the other day.
Who are you to judge anyone to 'let' them do anything? It makes me laugh to see players like you get so upset over this vid. I was highlighting a techique that could be perfected.
The EX Habanero Dash absorbs two hits, and the lariat is quite a slow move. The fact that the first hit allows you to get ready to perform the ultra imediately after the second hit makes this actually very doable.
I never actually bother using this against gief myself, but I'll make sure I use it on you.
I never said you could'nt do it, i just commented on how unpractical it is.
I never said anything toward you... i just commented that if this vid gets popular then i can see alot of idiots online thinking they have Gief beat using this when there are far safer options available.
What i find even more funny about this technique is that to have an ultra that even does damage to make this worthwhile you would most likley have to be under 50% health, LMAO!
Yeah I wouldn't advise doing this, not unless you want half your health missing lol. By all means do it if you can perfect the timing, but make sure you can cancel the run directly into the ultra flawlessly.
I beast ass gief would know not to do any lariat against El Fuerte. This video is not to be taken so seriously. I was having some fun in training mode and thought I'd post it.
I main Fuerte and I have been playing on a SFIV fightpad since launch which I love & its 100% reliable. I'm thinking of getting a SFIV T.E stick but I have no exper' on one. the main reason for this is the RSF combo, Does it help much??
i really need help on combing el fuerete jab and short kick combos to link together. am i doing something wrong? do i have to have good timing? i think im pressing jab then short kick then crouching short kick too fast. help!
The timing is hard. Go into training mode with CPU set to auto block.
When you try the link, if the CPU blocks it, you need to speed up your timing. If the 2nd hit doesn't even come out, you need to slow it down slightly.
try looking at the oppenents life bar. every time you hit the oppenent you should so a yellow thing go around the life bar on the border of it. thats supposed to help you with the timeing. your supposed to time your hits before the yellow bar goes away its showing you the time you have left to get the next hit pretty much. .... as far as this video i dunno what to say. i dont want to be an ass but this video doesnt show anything usefull if anything shows things you should never do. sorry
It highlights El Fuerte has a high risk high gain character. If you have the timing down to absorb a full lariat everytime you bait them into doing one, you pretty much guarantee yourself a free Ultra. It isn't easy though, but its helped me to win a couple of games. Plus its always fun to play a little differently, besides its only a game, If I wanted to play safe I'd pick Ryu or Sagat.
the real anti air-kick block :D

if you came back at a tournament with this the announcers would go crazy and probably make up some new words or something

hey. this isn't much of a tutorial if you don't show everyone how to do it. its more of a demonstration

idiot.... you guy realise that he knows exactly when he is going to do the lariat? in a real game its not so easy...
MegaZangief 2 years ago
LMAO, i can see alot of scrub fuerte players losing half their life bars trying to attempt this.
It's a stupid thing to do...the risks far out-weigh the rewards.
Oh well, let the scrubs have thier fun in training mode i guess...

So if you mess up, you are dead...just makes it even more risky for el fuert as it is already.
Underlying message is: it will never catch on, especailly not against Gief.
But go ahead practice this all you like, im sure you will feel big punishing some idiot that pulls out a random PPP lariat...
Gelgo0g 2 years ago
Another angry gief player... GTFO LOL
Yes its training mode...
Its not like its a secret or anything!

that's good stuff, i'll try this in a match and get punished for sure :D
