This is great work on the heavy bag. MAB is a legend! Great form he has his guards up unlike a lot of boxers when working the bag and he has good foot work off his jabs. Too bad the standbys would not give him room.

For speed I would still recommend the heavy bag and maybe holding small weights while you punch which is a technique Floyd Mayweather uses if not weights something that gives some resistance while you punch. There are many places that sell the heavy bag and the speed bag in the same platform so you can have both that's what I would recommend. To get faster you just have to work the heck out of the muscles you use to punch the stronger they are the faster and more powerful you will be.
I would definitely keep the heavy bag you can pick up a speed bag for pretty cheap, check ebay for used ones you could prob get a good one for under $100 I have one in my house the one problem is it's very loud so I can't hit it late at night. I would trade it for a heavy bag any day but I just don't have enough room. Maybe we could swap, lol. Speed is like jumping ability it's something you have or you don't of course it can be improved but a lot of it is just natural ability.
Yes power no question the heavy bag is a more effective tool. Just make sure to put your body into your punches and not just swing with your arms. The best way to get faster stronger and in better shape is by sparring but don't forget being in all around great shape will make you faster, running, jumping rope, sparring, heavy bag and speed bag training, also lifting light weights not heavy weights that will bulk up your muscles and can actually make you slower just lots of reps of light weights
