Blue Man Group had nothing to do with the decision to close Nickelodeon Studios. The place sat empty for 18 months before BMG, Sun Sports & FSN surfaced.

The lack of visitors to the facility made turning the place into a museum unrealistic.

The loss of interest in game shows by Nickelodeon's viewers (still "90's Kids" at the time) was one of the major reasons that forced Nickelodeon to make the very difficult decision to close the facility and leave Universal Studios.

TeenNick (The N), NGaS, Nicktoons, Nick2, Nickelodeon, and Nick Jr. I have all of these on my t.v. I also have 5,000 other channels but my point is she has never been on Nickelodeon.

Nickelodeon Studios had been closed for 18 months before Blue Man Group entered into the picture.

BMG had nothing to do with the closing of Nickelodeon Studios, yet people, to this day, continue to blame them.

If it wasn't for BMG and other organizations, Universal Studios could have easily demolished the buildings and used the land for other purposes.

Nickelodeon closed the Orlando facility because:

1)People lost interest in the facility and the programs that were recorded there.

2)Celebrities, needed to star in new programs, refused to relocate from Southern California to Orlando.

With waning public interest and no hope for keeping the facility opened, Nickelodeon broke camp and left Orlando.

I loved those days from the late 80's to the late 90's when Nick was jammin'. Now, it's garbage cartoons. The family fun is all gone. Todays generation of youth totally missed out on all the Nickelodeon fun. The sitcoms, game shows & fun games for everyone. Oh yea, and Stick Stickly. RIP Nickelodeon-oo-oo-deon-whew-he­w!!!
