great to see these grooveboxes going strong, I use mine as a sequencer (rock solid) for all my analog synths - but as your videos show you can get great sounds out of them too; they're a bargain too...got mine for 100 euro. Once you get your head around the edit and create functions you won't look back.
hello my name is javier digitaljosh'm from Argentina and need some tutorial to use my yamaha RM1X in cubase or nuendio. very good thank you very much your videos
I'll chime in, here. I just sold my RM1x on eBay. I liked it, and some of the sounds, but if I buy another device like this, I'll get the MC-505. Why? Because I borrowed one from a friend before I got the RM1x, and it was much easier to create on, it has 4 outputs IIRC, has the gimmicky light sensor thing, and something else but I completely forget what... I like Yamaha, but it always felt tedious to create with in comparison.
I remember it now... Arpeggio. The Arp in the RM1x is terrible! At least in comparison to the MC-505.
Also, I'd probably save up for an MC-909. I almost got an MC-307 instead of the RM1x, but there was some reason I chose not to, and can't recall what.. In any case, I much preferred the MC-505 in the weeks I had one in my possession.
505 sounds better IMO. RM1X is easier to program IMO. RM1X is easier to use with midi, but then again 505 sounds better IMO. They are both good machines.
nice stuff the sounds are SWEET... the atack should be a bit slower when played live. or just program the filter ( the RM1X's sequencer is digital BEEF cheap and fills the gap) wich is how its mainly done getting varying speeds 1/4 1/8 1/16 etc etc.. i really want an rm1x but currently building a arduinome 128 in a flightcase.. send a vid of some programming if you like? i would like hear some
great demo.

Dude, this tutorial is put together very well! Great job! I love how you have two cameras, too! It really adds a lot.

i find it's better to use the CUTOFF knob with overdrive or distortion and create the wobble bass manually. you'll be neck-deep in tang.
