I would consider myself a somewhat liberal Christian, and although i think the exorcism in the clip my be false, I think some exorcisms may be real, but I only base this on exorcisms I have heard of with physical effects, not just screaming.
Of course I could be wrong. Also I don't think these people are mental, just misguided if it is false.

I was at a christian camp & there was this quiet kid he spoke up when we were talking about personal stuff. at 16 he started getting into wtchcraft. he said he thought it was all fake. then at one point he became possessed. he lost control of his body. He said that for 8 months he could see &feel but not control his body & his vision had a dark blue tint to it. A kid forced him to go to church with him. evenutally it was cast out & he was back to normal. needless to say, he believes in God now.

Believe it or not it IS true and IS happening regularly and possession goes on ALL THE TIME.

I believe in science, but it can have both explanations, it is sudden schizophrenia, thats how the possession manifests, and it is cured by suggestion= faith. Anyway, you can give me any scitific explanation and i would agree with you, but you cant call it ridiculous as long as it works better than pills.

well you guys saying this stuff is BS have not been present at one. Nor have you witnessed or read about or seen real video of one.
I suggest you read some good books on the subject such as "an Exorcist stories" and "an excorcist more stories" by ignatus and" hostage to the Devil" by Malachi Michael. you will find out That Posession is real and can be very very dangerous. in one of the Books the priest died of his injuries sustained during the 1st and last Exorcism he perfomed.

And I've seen videos of the supposedly "real" practice, and I don't see or hear anything that any person with a talent for freaking out couldn't do anytime anywhere. About the most convincing exorcism I ever saw was in "The Exorcist" lol.

man, i just wish i could be Satan or the devil for one day, then go to this asshole and in the middle of his exorcism say "you called me out bitch, now you're gonna deal with the consequences" and give him the biggest beating ever... if you respect a God, you better pay goddamn respects to the devil too! it's not like a small, human reverend could outrival the devil if he actually existed, otherwise there wouldn't be a point with the devil in the first place!

Demon possession is real but nothing in this video is. When demons possess people they can't stay still like that, they are super strong and it take more than one person to hold them down. You can also hear the demons voice in them. When you see these things you know definitely it is not mental but the people in this video are.

The human mind's susceptibility to its own illusions is so often underestimated. The illusion, by anchoring itself to the delusions of others, is validated and thus allowed to spread very quickly. People approach their experiences with predetermined definitions and then say that they base their beliefs on their experiences. It's so easy to pretend this doesn't happen when it's just rote religious belief, but when it's illustrated like this it's hard to ignore.
This is how ALL religion works.

Exorcisms/possessions are no different than witchcraft or sorcery or whatever... Things that the vast majority of people dismiss as superstitious nonsense. Funny how people dismiss wicthcraft/sorcery right out of hand, but things like exocisms are still taken somewhat serious. Given the massive amount of evidence we have of what factors in the brain determine behavior and whatnot, it is silly to take things like exorcisms/possessions seriously today.

This is nothing but a form of hysteria. It's a bunch of people who are susceptible to suggestion (think of hypnosis). The preachers might or might not believe it themselves, it's both possible. This stuff has been around forever, the 'classic' hysteria at the turn of the 20th century, the multiple personality disorder that started gaining popularity halfway through the 20th century, and back in ancient days where this same thing occured aswell. Antropologists would NOT be amazed, really...
