@joker5972 There were actually four sources of light which could account for any flashing. One would be the fire, the second would be a second game camera, and the last two were the two colman lanterns in the trees. It was quite windy, and both lanterns were low on fuel.
@martinez418 There are over 180 videos out theredating up to January 2012, and I will be posting another video today or tomorrow. Our new season will kick off in February 2012. Who knows what will happen then?
that is NOT some leaves coincidentally floating down at that speed and with an arcing path. Leaves don't fall that fast. That was definitely some rocks or mud, etc. Also, noticed the bushes at ~ 0:58 beginning to move, although don't see evidence of any breeze anywhere else. By the way, was the light in the video a normal spot light or an IR light. Just wondering why the shadows are at that angle. What was the light source BEHIND the visitors causing their shadow to be in FRONT of them?
@rntonp Both source lights were Colman Propane lanterns. The game camera taking the video was IR. One Coleman Lantern was off screen to the left near our tent. Which means they walked past our tent and under the lantern near our tent.
@SUSANFARNS thank you. that makes sense. this is truly a "Too Close for Comfort for ME" Also, did you notice the bushes beginning to move at :58? Great work.
@rntonp We have since upgraded to IR lighting and better night vision cameras just in case this ever happens again. Our comand center has six IR flood lights, and four monitoring cameras that are fed into a DVR recording system. We are working on a system that will extend our range another 75 feet into the forest at night.
@SUSANFARNS thank you for the reply. Your videos are indeed very interesting. If I may make a suggestion (although I've never 'hunted' for these creatures) - Can you run a couple of perpendicular strings about 20-30 feet up between some trees, creating a criss-cross pattern (or X-shaped) and hang a camera pointing straight downward, at the intersection of the two strings ? I think elevated viewpoints are very underutilized in this field of research.
@SUSANFARNS Actually, in retrospect, it would be easier and more covert to just hang a camera underneath a large horizontal limb on a tree - with camera facing down towards the ground - rather than trying to string up several strings across an opening.
I would also love for someone to put a large metal can of peanut butter on top of one of those canned-heat camping things that warms up when opened. The aroma of peanut butter when warmed in amazingly powerful.
@jbiz2112 The clip was taken by a motion sensor IR game camera. Something did trip the camera, IR washes close objects to white and really makes it stand out. So, either something tripped the camera and caused the leaves to fall, or it was just a coincidence. Clip was taken in November.
Bigfoot is known to throw objects. There's definitely something lurking around your site. Eventually I think a gamecam is going to give us definitive evidence of this creature's existence. There's just too many sightings going back hundreds of years by reputable people with a lot to lose for it not to exist. Probably gigantopithacus.
@09jackstraw I used to think it was Gigantopithecus too, but it's not. It's not human or an ape; it's something completely different and completely amazing!!!!
@1969jmac There were two lanterns. The one you see, and the one out of frame to the left that is haning on a tree next to our tent. There were no other campers, and no one left the tent during the night. If it was human, they are not so smart. Good way to get shot.
@martinez418 Unless they make a noise to wake us up, we would zzzz all the way till morning. That is whay we put the cameras up in camp so we could sleep. We need more cameras to cover more areas.
@martinez418 None that we heard. The stealth game camera has no sound, so we don't know. Recently we have started to leave sound activated recorders in the same area as the cameras as the cameras. We have been getting vocalizations on several occasions.
@martinez418 I am working on it. I just got back from an 10 day expedition where we covered some sightings in Montana, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Florida. Lots of film to process and get ready. I will be going back to the same area next week to set cameras and to investigate some new reports.
@FlyMRIMicroscopy The only two lights were the one you see and one to the left off screen. Both were Coleman propane lanterns turned down to the lowest setting. The camera was using night vision. The camera to the left was about six feet off the ground hanging on a pine tree.
@FlyMRIMicroscopy The only other possible light source was the campfire. We put it out before going to bed, so we didn't consider that as being a possible source of light. Unless more wood had been added--but we did not do that.
@bigfootproofsite I am a 20 year military man and have been trained in evade and capture. This has helped me set the cameras which have been very fruitfull compared to other bigfoot researchers. You are correct, even what I know, they are still the masters of the forest.
@bigfootproofsite I now have the equipment to surveil the entire camp with massive IR lighting and video. The food is set at the base of the cameras, and the cameras have a 360 degree field of view. No way to mess with the cameras, because cameras are looking outward. If they come back, I will get them.
Clearly that face has got to be a direct descendant of Abe Lincoln. So there has been cross breeding, LOL. But seriously tell me that doesn't look like honest Abe?
Yes, there was a second lantern hung on a tree right next to my front right corner of my tent. They walked by my tent, in front of the other light and passed between my tent and the fire pit the fire was out and the wind was blowing. The lantern casting the shadows was one source, therefore the multiple shadows are from multiple bipeds.
@SUSANFARNS Clearly this has to be a direct descendant of Abe Lincoln, so cross breeding has been successful, here is the States, not just Russia. LOL, But seriously, tell me that doesn't look like honest Abe.
Looks like only one thing walking into your camp. the light is making it look like more than one. something strange by the tree , almost looks like smoke or something ducking behind a tree.
That's not uncommon among humans and primates to group together when they are afraid. It may also have something to do with the lantern that casts the shadows. I believe they were mostly in single file and walked almost directly under the lantern which causes the shadows to appear to be very close together.
This is phenomenal work. Your research group is highly sophisticated in your actions, planning and thought processes. I'm just incredibly impressed. This is one of those times I wish I were still living in Arizona. If anybody is going to find credible proof for the world to believe, it will be your research group...count on it.
One more observation, in order to set the cam off something had to move infront of the cams sensor, I wonder if it was a hand or did one move infront of the cam and hide??
In times past when we were using still photo game cameras, we would get 300 photos of the same bush with noting in them. Until one day we caught what appears to be the knuckles of a grey hand with red hair on the back. It is very possible they trigger the cameras to watch the flash. With IR there is no flash and video catches movement and flags things normally not seen in still photos. We now know they love ding-dongs, twinkies, cookies, and peanutbutter/honey sandwiches.
I just deployed a Bushnell Trophy Cam in a insulated metal incasement I created, I also focused another trail cam at a 90 degree angle. I noticed they like raid your coolers..LOL, I have tried leaving my group candy but dern squirrels get it first. I am planning on a "mock" camp after hunting season and your video has inspired me to leave a cooler full of candy, thanks for the heads up!!!
Wow, good job!!! Im sure U may have already done this but have u thought about putting another cam in your cam and have them facing each other so if they try to sneak around the one the other one may catch them???
Yes, we have tried that, but at night the IR from one camera blinds the other. We are purchasing a four camera wireless night vision surveilance system with a DVR recording device which will run for 4 days. We plan to put the four cameras back to back looking outward covering 360 degrees. We hope to have this system ready to go come this thanksgiving break.
Wow, sounds great, have have been having issues with the dern things putting their hands or something in front of the cam, so all I get is 60 seconds of white, then of course they can do what they want, remove thier hand the it never shows anything. BTW, U could go low tech and use trip wire with cans, but I would not want to be first out of tent..lol
We are now using a battery operated motion sensor door bell from harbor freight. We put them out on the edge of the camp and it rings a chime in the tent when it senses something. We have to keep it up high to not detect skunks or racoons. But it lets us know when something is coming into the camp. I also purchased a Sony Supernight shot video camera. We should be getting some very nice night vision shots. We now have 4 IR flood lights that really light the area up with invisible light.
Oh my goodness!!! That was so cool!! Awesome!!
