@rwatkins1525 Dragging your foot for a change-up is a myth/incorrect mechanics. Change-ups are thrown with changes in grip and forearm/wrist angle (i.e., with the palm out – opposite of a curve ball), not with changes in throwing mechanics. All pitchers with good mechanics will have a 'drag line' on every pitch they throw. In other words, all pitchers should have a drag line on every pitch regardless of pitch type.
Depends on how you define "best mechanics in the league". He is efficent in delivering the ball using his entire body to throw. Has no inverted v or w or l which increase load on the shoulder and elbow. He has awesome hip shoulder separation along with body tilt. I don't see why he doesn't have good mechanics look at older pitchers such as bob feller, sandy koulfax and christy matthewson who use their entire body to throw not arm, Who do you think has good mechanics?

He drags his back foot about 1 foot. Is he throwing a changeup?

@gnohc actually he just about does, leg drive hip separation, he doesnt use the arm at all, i think he could win the elusive 300 games.
