Stop Walker! Stop Christie! Stop the galloping fascism sweeping over the USA, for the love of your children and for those who died to make this country free!
Ordered Paul Robeson Remembered last night! Listened to everything I could find Kevin Maynor singing: Maynor's voice equals Paul Robeson, my humble opinion
many many thanks for this: First I have heard Kevin Maynor. superb voice!! He follows Robeson version, and his voice almost approaches Robesons! Thank you!!
Kevin Maynor is sounding really great here. I was lucky to hear him many times, when we shared a voice teacher at Northwestern University. His low notes made the blinds in the studio rattle! Without a doubt, this is one of the great basso-profundos of our time and is quite well known in the major opera houses of the world. And yes, definitely carries Paul Robeson's legacy forward.
It's hard to express my gratitude (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) to you for posting this. What a voice! Hearing Kevin Maynor for the first time is revelatory, and naturally makes me hungry for more of this deliciously deep, rich and resonant sound. But since I used up my budget for music long ago, all I can say is "thank goodness for Kankonchak's taste, erudition, and most of all his gratitude in chosing a hobby that brings so much knowledge and unbridled visceral joy to the rest of us.

Beautiful voice. The Met seems to miss many great artists, doesn't it? One obvious question: is he any relation to Dorothy Maynor?
Thanks for another great one. You do good work!
Five stars.
