my horse Zachery does that all the time! he spooks. we live by the woods so i dont blame him but he sees little bunny rabbits sometimes and bucks me off then goes for the fence and i have to catch him.... Zach always gets into trouble lol

I ride bareback and bridleless and I'm fine. But I've fallen off plenty of times with a saddle and bridle. Falls happen to the best of us! :D

That's exactly how I fell last. Ugh. I ride Western. I was cantering in the arena, and all of a sudden, my horse quickly turned the other direction, and I flung right off!
The little girl should have been paying more attention, if the horse was gentle or not, so she shoudn't have been surprised when the pony freaked out. Her feet should have been in the stirrups and her heels down, hands on the reins. If she had a more secure seat, she would have stayed on. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm being mean, but still, she is young, and no doubt she is much better. :) Every fall makes you a better horse person!

My Morgan Friesian X (4 years) has done quite a bit of spooking, and well, I just was sayin'. I try following equation rules and I've only fallen off a horse once in the four years I've ridden. @punchjumper3744 its call making sure your old horse dosnt get sick from cold and die. The only people i have ever even know to clip a horse where show horses and the horse that live in stalls and never see things like snow.
@yellowskittles2468 maybe, because she's spooking at her shadow. Or doesn't know where the jump line ends. Try to work more on directing her straight to the jump, hope that helps.

L.O.L she didnt look on straight and she didnt have the bridles into her arms she didnt hold the bridles strong so the horse got scared and she fell down because her mind wasnt to the horse.
Once i went to fall with something like this but i didnt...do you know why?

That's not a bad first way to fall off. It wasn't painful and it wasn't that scary. My first fall was very traumatizing and I didn't ride for a couple years, so for your first fall, that's the way to do it :)
hehe aww that lil greys so cute, i fell of like that once, our instructor was making us ride side saddle (not properly) so we could feel the horses movement (it worked, try it) so i put both my legs on one side of the saddle with only one foot in the stirrup, we were walking along like u 2 where and i tried to get my leg back over, it caught on the front of the saddle n i fell off, wish id caught it on camera it was really funny :P
@dizzyfizzy101 Doesn't make her a bad rider. Sometimes it pays to take a relaxing moment on your horse; it looks like she may have been at the end of a lesson or something. People ride without stirrups all the time, sweetie, and with loose reins too. She was WALKING.

2. Why do you need to take feet out of stirrups when cooling down? you dont
3. as you feel you yanked on the reins because you were'nt paying attention and you caused her head to jurk up so she probably hurt her mouth

That's always when my horse spook too, when i'm riding around the arena with no stirrups or reins and not paying any attention to what im doing! lol

my horse did that to me except i was thrown into star thistle and landed on the shoulder i dislocated a month before hehe i got a star thistle in the but lol i couldnt get back on though... i had apreantly torn my shoulder and had to wear a sling for a few weeks... humph... good for you for getting back on :) (just fyi i veiwed this off of pb)

Not anyones fault for the horse spooking but try and pay more attention next time ;)
It's annoying when you fall because the sand goes everywhere and you generally look rather good at riding :)

L.O.L she didnt look on straight and she didnt have the bridles into her arms she didnt hold the bridles strong so the horse got scared and she fell down because her mind wasnt to the horse.
Once i went to fall with something like this but i didnt...do you know why?
Because I was ready and my mind was to the horse..not to look left and right..

That's not a bad first way to fall off. It wasn't painful and it wasn't that scary. My first fall was very traumatizing and I didn't ride for a couple years, so for your first fall, that's the way to do it :)

hehe aww that lil greys so cute, i fell of like that once, our instructor was making us ride side saddle (not properly) so we could feel the horses movement (it worked, try it) so i put both my legs on one side of the saddle with only one foot in the stirrup, we were walking along like u 2 where and i tried to get my leg back over, it caught on the front of the saddle n i fell off, wish id caught it on camera it was really funny :P

@dizzyfizzy101 Doesn't make her a bad rider. Sometimes it pays to take a relaxing moment on your horse; it looks like she may have been at the end of a lesson or something. People ride without stirrups all the time, sweetie, and with loose reins too. She was WALKING.
