I used 2 chairs to hold the (plastic)milky glas (120x50cm), put a wall out of paper and sticking tape around to keep the sand on the glas and away from my carpet! hanging my camcorder above me -with sticking tape;) then put a neon light(for monochrom shining)on the floor under the glas, ...simpl sand -recorded in black and white and put higher contrasts with the computer) placed the sand with my hands and fingers or put sand everywhere and draw in it! draw,erase,draw,erase... yours Thomas Lidy

i searched the techniques used on wiki, n it says that an artist "applies sand to a surface and then rendering images by drawing lines and figures in the sand with one's hands. To increase visibility and to add further artistic aesthetic, a sand animation performer will often use the aid of an overhead projector or lightboard. Very deep...too deep without some explanation in certain parts. However, I think the chronology of the images shown were amazing. And, especially, your use of shadows to emphasize change or feeling/emotion were immaculate. I would like to understand further, the shift between images or at least what they have in common between each other in the extremely transitional scenes...thats just my thoughts.
