  • I adore this version of Hamlet. Utterly adore it.

  • Is it just me or is there some symbolism in how Hamlet and Claudius are dressed the same?

  • Could not be bothered to sit here watching actors that I had no clue who they were so just skipped to the parts with David tennant in. Love his acting and love him xx

  • Anyone having difficulties watching this?

  • Tennant in a chair reminds me the Doctor shouting "WORST RESCUE EVER!" when he was in a chair too x)

  • 7:43

    "COME! FOR ENGLAND! Wheee-eeee!"

Made me laugh soooooo hard! :D

  • "WHERE IS POLONIUS?"

Anyone else thought "I DON'T KNOW!"

David Tennant is perfect as Hamlet. He makes Shakespeare comprehensible. And even funny.

  • 2:58-3:08 XDD strangest moment eva ahah

  • Did anyone else think GERONIMO! when he jumped from the stairs?

  • @SeaCelestial that's smith, not tennant hahah XD

  • For England!!! Woooohooohooooo!!!!!!!!!

  • When David Tennant acts Hamlet, you forget it's complicated Shakespeare, he's SO natural!

  • his smile is adorable... :)... love him just bc of that smile :3

  • when he's strapped to the chair it reminds me of the end of time part two "wrost rescue ever!"

  • over the banister!! lol

  • I love how at 4:50 he's like "Tough crowd..."

  • Jumps over bannister

    XD

  • 5:50 hahahahaha the master made another appearance and disappeared when rosencrantz and guildenstern when to fetch hamlet lol

  • @IvyAngel1 I find him quite attractive tied up ;) LOL

  • Your scene listings are all out of whack

  • @llanellboy The scene listings were taken from the BBC site for this production. They changed the position of some of the scenes for this version, so blame Gregory Doran.

  • This is the first scene of act four.

  • Come! To England! Weeeeee! - Best addition as of yet.

  • ah, now i realize why hamlet looks much hotter now. his hair is no longer plastered to his head as in the first scene XD

  • 7:48-7:53 "Weeeeeeeeeeeee!" XD Lol

  • 6:30... There's the doctor that we all know and love haha ... Jw... Anyone else here a nerdfighter??

  • @Singinevryday hehe David's first episode! :D "I DON'T KNOW!"

  • @Singinevryday DFTBA! hahaha hamlet sure didn't...Tennant is the best xD

  • Without time, lord. Time Lord. Bwahahahaha!!!!!

  • I can't stop watching this.

  • Was the syringe also in the stage version of this Hamlet? I don't remember it seeing there. Thanks.

  • it is but squeezing you, waaaah

  • am i the only one who thinks gertrude is an utter b*tch?

  • The one person, who liked this is a Darlek.

    Nuff' said really.

    xx

  • @dramaqueen7777777 The spelling is Dalek. I wouldn't say it's David's fault, more whoever wouldn't allow a scottish Doctor, but I wish he would use his natural accent in Dr Who, cause the English one he puts on confuses people into thinking there's an 'r' in Dalek

  • Favorite scene in play. So much snark~

  • "WHERE IS POLONIUS!?!?" "HIUMSMADJKNASDKSLD"

  • I love his little WHEEEEEEEEEE And they wheel him off xDD

  • The body is with the king but the king is not with the body the king is a thing or nothing xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • I could almost see those two "friends" of his as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

  • Wow this is hilarious

  • I love how they just make it humourous

  • white people are crazy

  • LMAO! It took me a minute to remember the "WORST RESCUE EVER!" thing. oh, and "IN HEAVEN!", Remind you a bit of David's first DW episode to the Zigguracts- "I DON'T KNOW!"

  • @Joplinmoatheist2 It was 3 hours?

  • "WEEeeEE!" :)

  • Patrick Stewart is the greatest actor I have ever seen

  • I laughed at the WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE at 7:50

  • anyone else think "WORST RESCUE EVER' when David came in tied to the chair?

  • @BADGWOLF Yes! That is exactly what I thought of!

  • they TAPED him to a CHAIR. a wheely chair of all things

  • I said WEEE before he did! those rolly-chairs are fun!

  • aha i love hamlet because of this :)

  • Moral of the story: eavesdropping=death!

  • Lol, I love Tennant's acting! Though, I don't understand the syringe, is it a sedative of something?

  • @MrsDalek Yeah it's a sedative so they can transport him to England.

  • he is fantastic im actually impressed

  • That "WeeeEeee" killed me. Still laughing...

  • @LollyPollyPolly "Say wheeeeee!"

    "AHHHHHHHHH!"

  • WeeeeeEeeee! << so adorkable :)

  • His "IN HEAVEN" totally reminds me of the Christmas Invasion "I DON'T KNOW".

  • @balabababa1003325 that's exactly what i thought when he said it!! XD

  • @balabababa1003325 yeah thats what I was thinking LOL

  • Its official, he's a god!!

  • this is act 4 scene 3

  • "come for england! weeeohhheeeee!"

    truly and utterly mental. XD

  • @elimacca And completely epic because of it, yes?

  • Lol. Hes like, no need to rush up the stairs, "he will stay til ye come!" And then earlier, "the body is with the king, but the king is not with the body. The king is a thing... of nothing." I just figured out what that meant.

  • David is waaaay good at being mad! =P

  • weeee wheely chair RACE!!!

  • LOLZ! "IN HEAVEN!" That and when he went "Weeeee" As he was being rolled out! David is amazing

  • David's natural flow with the Shakespearean words is just brilliant. I've never seen it acted out this way before, so believable and with his mannarisms it makes it easier to understand. Indeed he is an amazing actor :D

And Patrick Stewart's performance is amazing as well. The man is a natural born Shakespearean actor

  • not gonna lie...that part at 6:30 is exactly the same as the scene in christmas invasion! when the sycorax leader said "i demand to know who you are!" and the doctor says "I DON'T KNOOOWWW!"

  • I love how he yells 'Whheeeee!" as he's being wheeled out

  • do the craked mirrors mean somthing? oh and love david he cute! xxx

  • @scarletmoonfall I think it symbolizes everything that is breaking or falling apart; Hamlet's plans, order at Elsinore, the King's nerve, Ophelia's sanity etc, etc

  • @QueenAlyss thanku sooo much it all makes sence now! i was thinking is it like bad luck, but i thought that seemed childish u have realy explained it in the best way thanks xxx :D

  • @scarletmoonfall You're welcome!

  • I've just done an exam on this scene today!

  • the body is with the king but the king is not with the body LOL noone ever said that line that way before

  • Tennant couldn't possibly play a sane person it would seem

  • Comment removed

  • David Tennant is like my friend Ryan. He's such a damn good actor that producers/directors (and GM's too if I had reason to think he gamed) just CAN'T HELP but torture him as much as possible. Because he can play it SO WELL...

  • when hamlet laughs around 4:47, i can see a little bit of david's giggle in there! soooo adorable! love it!

  • LOL at 4:18 :')

  • 7:18 I'm trypanophobic. This part about killed me. D8

  • @AniRemi

omg i know! as soon as they took out the damn syringe i started freaking out. im like NOOOOO WTF ARE YOU DOING TO MY DAVID!!!! *faint*

  • @AniRemi me too! i felt that in my own skin D:

  • @MoyashiFukadai Yeah, same here

  • 7:51 "wheeee!" i literally LOL'd.

DT's one of those natural Shakespeare actors who makes it not even sound like Shakespeare, if you know what I mean.

this is awesome, thx so much for posting!!

  • "farewell dear mother! loving father! My Mother, father and mother is man and wife, man and wife is one flesh and so... my mother!" haha love it!

  • this is the most natural acting of hamlet i've ever seen.

  • i discovered tennant as dr. who, so now i always see his dr.who side in hamlet. pure pleasure!

  • If you can find it somewhere--still on You Tube perhaps?--you'd REALLY enjoy Traffic Warden...a short, 9-minute film in which he doesn't speak a word!

  • "Where is Polonius?" - "IN HEAVEN!" *lol* David is an acting god!!!

  • I most heartilly agree!

  • his voice there reminded me at the christmas invasion when the sycorax leader keeps asking him who is he and he says "I don't know!!!" :)

  • @toontoosh Omg I was thinking the exact same thing!

  • @ForeverFalling09 great minds thinks the same :)

  • "We will stay until you come!" lol!

  • HE will stay.

  • Ah, right - I knew that. Haven't read the play since high school, and I liked the line back then, too, so I don't know how I forgot.

  • klunk, klunk, klunk...

  • DT 7:49 - 7:52 :)

  • tennant is hilarious in these scenes...

  • 7:50 :D

  • Thank you so much for these! I've been waiting to see them

  • He's.. ended up tied to a chair a lot, lately.. it's becoming somewhat of a trend.

    Thanks for the upload!

  • Poor thing... at least they didn't have to wheel him down all those stairs again LOL. What a trooper.

  • @gabiace12 Yeah...that chair is EXACTLY like the one in Doctor Who - The End of Time
