  • @70dejavu We've been putting it on all the project cars we've built over the last 6 years, we haven't had any adhesion problems to date.

@karlssomn, the polyester goes over the bondo, epoxy was used on the bare metal below the bondo

@jonnysuperglide - thanks, Ive been trained well

@warrenhwimmer - contact any distributor of Standox products

@MrMADMOFO - haven't cut myself yet, thanks for the concern

    Kelle

  • I did 3 cars over that had that shit on them, You can peel it right off the car after you paint. And the 3 cars were done by 3 diff body shops.

  • A professional job would treat Standox EP laminates with first (85 011) and then the putty spatchel (86 948) for shock, continuing the spray polyester filler putty (78 080), sanded and we garlopa VOC-filler system (78 059 ) to get it ready for the base color, so you can give a lifetime warranty Standox ..

  • удивлён

  • why not a cote of epoxy before the polyester?

  • She is beautiful .i love a girl that knows her stuff about cars. very nice job

  • Where do you gett his stuff?

  • No razor blades in your mouth >a BIG no no !!

  • great video V8TV.

Would the Poly stick well if the car has already been sprayed w two part epoxy primer?

  • Solid Video....

  • What type of gun did he use for that polyester primer? size tip? what does it look like anybody?

  • @jeetkunedoground I have used this product. It should be sprayed in a gun with a 2.0mm to a 2.5mm tip. If you try using a regular spraygun it takes an extremely long time to spray it as the Viscosity of is high.

  • I used polyester on my old Chrysler which I painted black. I used Omni, it worked very well and sanded super easy, very well made video, thanks!

  • Sexy body girl

  • i must say that the spray poly has a nice colour to it

  • use some more bondo then use finer sandpaper and its faster then preping the car for the polyester

  • @chezbalz you can not get a perfectly flat pannel without polyester

  • if you are skilled as me than ya you dumb ass you just get glaze putty , smooth it perfectly then primer< then BLOCK the car

  • i should let u guys paint my 77 trans am

  • yes, she is a doll (love a woman who knows bodywork) lol

    keep up the videos guys!

    great work!

  • Are you kidding? a load of filler on the car already. whatever happened to metal working? WE'LL just add more plastic and reshape the panel, lol. I guess the chemical companies pay you well. these folks forget to tell you about the shrinkage a couple of years later and how your car will look like you just drove through a hail storm. PEOPLE, you use body filler at a minimum, NOT KEEP ADDING MORE TO FIX ONE MISTAKE AFTER ANOTHER.

  • Did you watch the video? This car was hammered and dolleyed to being very straight, then the filler was applied in a light skim coat that was largely sanded off. No more than a couple 16ths at the thickest point. The sprayable polyester is then sprayed to fill any pinholes and sanding scratches. It's 90% sanded off, too. We never fill dents or shape the car with filler. The poly has an extremely low shrinkage rate, we've got cars 3 years completed with no shrinkage.

  • We've had primers shrink, but the poly resists shrinking very well. We never advocate filling dents with filler, our body tech John in this video is I-CAR certified with over 20 years experience, we're not showing you "one mistake after another". The fillers just guarantee that this car is laser-straight, and it is, with no sanding scratches or pinholes anywhere.

  • @futoandutoo I totally agree with you.

  • If that woman is single could she please e-mail me. I'd like to marry her. I have two Jensens that require restoration. She can have all the dresses and shoes that she wants. My kind of woman.

  • stupid question, but on average how much would the bill be on finished car like this amount to? we talking a few thousand dollars or over 10? i'm very serious because i just bought a '73 Cuda a while back and the body needs all of this done to it. new quarters, trunk, sail panel, a-pillar and c-pillar repairs, vinyl top installed, drivers side floor pan, patch work on the front fenders. etc etc etc...just trying to get a feel on what my body work cost will be including paint

  • Those body lines where really nice and crisp b4 the spray polly. Was it the same amount of work to get them nice again?

  • The polyester sands like chalk, nice and easy. You'll see the sanding process in the next video. The body lines are razor-sharp after the poly blocking. It's not hard to do.

  • looks like there is a hardener as well as the paint

when i painted my car i used ppg ,they have something called spray putty dose not require a hardener

although it was my fist time painting a car it came up well

  • DOGGIES!!

  • Love 'em dogs! :D

  • Nice puppy!
