In the first few drills, after the kick, punch as you plant your feet. It looks like you're trying to build up "board breaking" power between the kick & punch. This is too slow.

Ground fighting: go ahead and grab me, and take your guard down from your eyes. Your eyes are vulnerable standing and on the ground. I'd like to see you fight without them. That is kung fu.
It always amuses me that people post comments that a drill does'nt do X, and there is a problem with Y. The point of the drill is to get basic moves perfected, it is the user that has to figure out when and how to use them.
In the first drill she leaves a very predictable opening when she brings her right leg in to start the kick. If she were to be hit she'd already be off balance.
hey lindsay it's lianna just watching your video's you wanted me to watch you should have the song everybody was kung fu fighting in the backroulnd.lol luv ya
DangerousKJL i wanted to thank you for the compliment , and bungboman , its just a couple of drills theirs not really a whole lot of footwork its tai pads and a drill you cant base our footwork from a three minute video , we do Tons of footwork ! and seriously i went on your site and theirs no vids of you so how do we know what footwork you do , ITS A 3 MIN VID !!!!!!!! not our kungfu life story
I am a Praying Mantis instructor from New York form what I have seen of Mike Biggie, he seems very good, It would be great to work out with him...lucky you. Keep up the good work Jim
I met Sifu Biggie years ago. I took a introductory class with him. I was amazed on how much he was able to teach concepts. Until then, I always thought PM was not practical. Unfortunately I had to relocate. Whenever, I mention Sifu Biggie's name anywhere, he is acknowledged as a good teacher and practitioner of the art

No disrespect. But I have been a martial arts practioner for many years and I do beleive that like in the MMA, your traditional martial arts lacks ground fighting techniques
and is sorely represented in the publics eye. Okay creampuff?!
@bungboman "creanpuff" ? - - - "no disrespect" ? - traditional martial arts is the alphabet of what you create your own martial art to be - disrespect

Looks very good. I especially like the second drills with other male partner. He is pretty good from what i see. Would love the opportunuty to spar with him. Or perhaps he could try out for the UFC. Would like to see how long he would last, especially if he is taken to the ground! Probably not long.
I've fought and won under both Shooto and regular MMA rules and consider the striking in this video to be some of the best I've seen; it's "real world" Mantis at it's best.
@sifucarr- I seen many arts and studied a few and most seem to lack ground fighting or defense. It is foolish to think as a martial artist that you cannot be taken to the ground. I know some who think this way. A good martial artist has an open mind and is willing to learn from others. It seems a waste to study so hard and so long and the first time you are taken to the ground you are like a fish out of water. Not all fights are standing up.

@bungboman - nothing positive to say - us so-called "traditional" martial artists learn respect soon - take that to the ground ~
