@pri22v11 This is my favorite part... I made them. I got the stone at a gem fair and carved/painted them. I loved them very much, but alas gave them away when I made my current set (emerald and black tourmaline with copper inlay) I might give those ones away too, if I make myself another set, but not likely, since emerald is my birthstone and I love them (A LOT!)
Thank you Eric for Thierry explaination ! So position 3 refers more to personnal expectations than "future" itself. Well, by the way, I would like to thank you (as manu people here) because your work on runes is very helpful :) I find your approach very practical and when watching your videos, we can feel that you have this truly experience with them, honestly. I siège you good continuation on your path !
Hi Eric ! Could you please, explain a little more about the meaning of position 3, and the difference it mâles with position 6 ? Thank you you very much in advance, Odin be with you too...
@Powerstation62 Thanks for the comment. You can usually see a little of what the person you're reading for wants in the third position... it's what they either expect or want to happen. sometimes those things aren't the same thing. position 3 (in my experience) doesn't usually effect the rune in position 6. usually it's the other way around... depending on whether or not they overcome 4 through the actions and challenge of position 5. this will also usually tell you whether 3 happens or not
I really got a LOT of use out of these Runes videos. Thank you so much! What I have done with this information is take notes, and then tonight, I shared them with my gaia guild. I also gave credited, and shared a link to these videos/& you on youtube.
@MrDreamblade I get this type of question a lot actually. Runes can be made from anything you personally find appropriate. Originally runes were carved into various things for power and protection, but as for sets of runes for divination they were carved from fruit tree staves and dyed with the users blood. so in direct answer: They can be, but it is not any more "traditional" than being made from wood. Same with stone and clay.

I heard that when casting runes, you put them put face down and feel for one that seems different, and when they are put in their places still face down, the ones that are up-side down mean thee opposite of what they are normally. So now I'm confused.
@MegaPancake100 That can be one way to do it. there are several ways to use the runes for divination including the way you described. I generally don't use the markstave (reversed) meanings. instead, what I do is to look at the surrounding runes and determine whether the meaning is a boon or a warning.
@Alliedtonone I don't see why they couldn't, I prefer to let the person I'm reading for (readee) pick their own runes, it means I have no chance to interfere with the outcome. I already know most of my runes by touch and sight.
Well my brother I have to tell you, you come across like an ole world master. Awesome experience watching the segments. They gave me a more secure feel for runes. BB.
Thank you for this tutorial. I am just entering runes as another form of divination and you have brought about a very simplistic view. Blessings my brother. )O(

my friend has a rune set with one specific rune that she can't figure out the name. it looks like'' wv'' I guess, like mountains or? idk but if you know where we might look for help it would be a great help. or if you know the name even better , thanks so much,
please tell me, can runes be incorporated with other occult systems just like how the tarot is incorporated to the Golden Dawn / Hermeticism or so i hear
@Miguelsr1rst Unfortunately I can't answer your question. Not because I don't want to, but because I don't understand it. I don't use tarot, and I don't know what "the Golden Dawn / Hermeticism" is/are. Sorry about not being very helpful.
it surprises me how many people here, inclusing myself, are more drawn to runes than to tarot. I've tried reading tarot, but for the same reasons as you I choose to work with runes. they speak to me.
@toktz1 as with many other things, magic is neither black nor white, neither dark nor light. it is the intent of the user that makes any tool or magic good or bad, malignant or benign. but in my personal experience no, runes are neither dark nor black magic.
re: princessannikki - You can buy blank tarot cards, playing cards ,mtg(Magic the Gathering) have a nice gold border, you can draw rune, name at top, meaning in the text box. You can make them out of that plastic clay, use permanent markers to color/mark, out of regular clay, paint and glaze. River stones are easy to use, just get a vice and hammer and cheap screwdriver (or a real chisel), and of course trees if you can find the proper ones, are optimal. Some ideas for ppl if they need them.
Wow, I prefer Runes for the same reasons as you. They were the first divination tool I felt really drawn to as well, so maybe I have a more natural feel for them as opposed to the Tarot.
Great video! I feel the same way about Runes and Tarot. I designed some Rune cards - kind of like Tarot - to help me focus on the meanings, so they have pictures on them to symbolise the meaning. It helps to memorise. It's the same way I learned to speak Swedish. n_n
@Lurch579 Thanks for posting this. You have provided an indispensable resource for me and my Heathen studies. Odin be with you, brother.

@Miguelsr1rst I think it all ready has hasn't it? I know allot of "new agers" using runes it so I don't think you need to.
Thought it would make no sense in a Celtic or non Scandinavian religion simply because they didn't invent them.
