  • Tom,

Remember the days of Japanese class at Butte college. Glad to see you at Video maker. Its cool this place is in Chico

  • why 240p? it's 2011

  • you talk about the direction of action in each clip , then you do the opposit in your ending by going out screen 3:55 left then going in from the left 4:00 ie moving right

  • i have a jcv super vhs do people sell stuff for thatose, and can you start make videos with an jcv

  • subscribed

  • This app is too bulky, too much study of interface before doing such an easy operation like cutting.

I suggest Freemake Video Converter as a perfect tool both for editing and converting

  • @UtaMuller Hi, thanks for the suggestion! Good thinking.

  • @UtaMuller The freemake site looks strange, to say the least. I wouldn't download from there if they paid me.

  • @CandideCAT if they paid you to download from the site, you could take the money and buy the original.

    problem solved. lol

  • @1991MRjesse You got me there!

  • @CandideCAT btw, i demand a fee for giving out advice. say, 70% of what they pay you.

  • Nm..watch the clip again and it is on the screen lol.. didnt see that the first time

    The lost room.. thx

    4:09 to the left....

    FAIL!

  • @ParKerZukii234 yea they made a lot of editing errors in their own example. but the video was good though

  • @ParKerZukii234 That's because he had to turn a corner Hurrrr

He was still going in the same direction, but in a different way.

  • @ParKerZukii234 not quiet, their intention was to get a shot of the fat dude following him

  • this is nice, im making short videos for fun...

  • lol the teddy bear dissapeared before she actually closed the door :P 1:50

  • Didn't you just destroy the 180 rule at 0:21 to 0:23?

  • @videomaker why can't your videos be hd in youtube?

  • @videomaker whats that movie at 2:00?

  • @2cool4fun its ( the lost room ) mini serie of sci-fi Chanel

  • no offence but can you improve the quality to HD thanks.

  • Not offended at all. We don't post HD version to YouTube. Check out the link in description to download it... Cheers.

  • @videomaker Why don't you post HD versions to YouTube? Is it because you want people to go to your website so bad? Because viewers such as I, do not even bother watching a video that has low quality and on top of that being advertise their website to go visit makes me not interested, perhaps if you uploaded good quality videos I might take interest.

  • very helpful

  • that was really informative. thanks for the upload

  • hahaha is so funny n is very hlpful!!

    thx!! lots of thx!!

  • i for me you cleared up a lot of questions thanks...

  • great lesson, thank you!

  • thanks for the video!

    very helpful

  • How is thematic editing actually done? Do you use a greenscreen or is it a mask?

  • No "thematic" editing refers to editing to convey a style or mood rather than to simply makes cuts to the beat of a soundtrack. So instead cutting together a horror scene of someone being stabbed, we shoot a bunch of random shots that give off the impression of choas, making a viewer feel as if they have just witnessed something violent. A perfect example would be the shower scene in Pyscho. We never see her get stabbed, but we feel as if we did.

  • Ok. Well in the Stay movie how do they do the effect where the background and people change so seemlessly?

  • Thanx! hopefully this will help me with my new project...THANX again!

  • they did it again! Bravo

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiice

  • NICE

  • very nice

  • When is the next contest?

  • The Videomaker Short Video Contest is on hiatus for now. Stay tuned...

  • It would have helped if you had done this video earlier lol.

  • Very good tips and editing, but the videos have been pretty blurry lately, what's up with that?

  • An HD version of this (and all other Tips & Tricks) video is available on website. Check out the link in the description for this video. Cheers.

  • this seems somehow related to the 180 degree rule.

  • nice!
