  • duuuuuudes///u cud print sex toys!

  • If you are away on a business trip scan your penis and your girlfriend prints it out at home.

Just make sure she doesnt print anybody elses.

  • Now your printer can jam in 3d.

  • i want to print a pussy ;DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @TheWolfGuilty Or a dick if you waer a girll ;DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD lol

  • They might have simplified the wrench a little but that doesnt mean the 3d printer is fake, i mean i have one at my school, so i would know

  • Its fake because the wrench is completely different then the real one

  • I CAN PRINT MORE PRINTERS !!!!!

  • The host reminds me of Spagett...

  • Its so fake..... look at the red regulator. the original has 5 lines.. the one he prints has only 4.. its FAKE

  • @AdicktaSinfonia

ok? so you thin that the national geographic channel is going to air a show thats fake? and this isnt something new, its been around for a while. you just want to try and show all of youtube what a geinus you think you are

  • @AdicktaSinfonia It's not fake. Do some research.

  • @flakey94 It says is a replicator. Thats fake.. look both tools detailed and then talk to me.. they are diferent.

  • How will you print a tool that is lost in space if you already lost it?

  • @LoBoSz3 haha true, but you can scan and save every part before you leave.

  • @LoBoSz3 It's called a database.

  • How could they scan the inner parts of the object? They got the parts within the tool and the sides of the gear from "scanning" it from the outside. I don't doubt the print part, but there's definitely something they aren't showing us with the scanning.

  • @utupoe111 notice a difference between the one they scanned and the one that came out? :p

  • nice sweater bro

  • Took a 3D ZPrinter 150 to the knee

  • Comment removed

  • can it print my dick? it has moving parts too :D

  • @LeinadNesterbegne sounds like you need to get that checked out.

  • amazing stuff, id like more information on the processus tho

  • Its time to print some organs

  • oh nice, I want one to duplicate some of my bags I wear over my head : )

  • I wonder, would you be able to replicate an animate object? Something that is alive? Of course the duplicate would be inanimate, but could you do it?

  • @MissEnvy333 Probably, if you could get it to sit still long enough!

Perhaps a turtle would be a good first test.

  • "If you lose your tool in space you can print out another one" how about instead of bringing a heavy printer and enough material to make new tools you just bring spare tools, its the same weight as the material except without the printer.

  • @grahamatter Think about apollo 13. They needed to make something that had failed. Imagine if on earth, they had pre scanned all the nuts and bolts and hardware for everything that could have gone wrong. Those guys just print out, and assemble what they need. Think of it not as an "instead of" but a back up.

  • @beaugureau I see your point, but I don't like it. (the idea that is) for a start that thing wont work in zero gravity, I just think, bring a bunch of standard nuts and bolts and a few spares of things that might go wrong, if anything goes wrong with the electronics they're fucked anyway.

  • Not saying this is fake because I have seen an used 3D printers in school. But the wrench that is shown originally has a whole in the metal on the handle, and the one that they print has a ring on the end, attached. They didn't copy the original wrench. Like This up so people can see it.

  • @TheAcademyOf1 Douche

  • @TheAcademyOf1 and it's freaking expensive. and slow

  • @F22xSTEALTHx I think people think its fake because they simplified/skipped the full scanning and 3D modelling process. I agree its super expensive and quite slow. I haven't used a colour 3D printer before, thats pretty cool/expensive looking. Printing in colour must save time and/or staff costs.

  • @TheAcademyOf1 That's because it's usually modified in the modeling program but as that takes a lot more time, they probably just took a premade model

  • @TheAcademyOf1 that does not mean they did not copy the original wrench, they could have easily modified it for reasons of their own, yah twat

  • @TheAcademyOf1 I'm farily confident some input from a CAD operator would be required to convrert the scanned part into something that could be printed, especially with regards to the moving parts. I can't see there of being much of an issue with the hole in the handle however yet I still think the video is legitimate.

  • @TheAcademyOf1 So the National Geographic is so easily fooled? Yeah, I'd trust them over some random internet dude who see fake shit fucking everywhere.

Anyway, my mind is full of fuck now. I can't even comprehend the technology behind this.

  • On my design school, we have a 3D printer, and the result it's a model with a material very easy to break.

  • c'est fucking capoté!

  • No shit!

  • You should be able to download objects to the printers memory so u don't have to have the object on u

  • @naija61899 Instead of buying actual objects, people will buy a blueprint for for the 3D Printer.

  • Comment removed

  • Simply. I do not believe that, there is a trick somewhere; no good explanation is given, the supply of the material used to fabricate the 3-D tool needs a whole factory not a "replicator"! Are we that stupid to trust that story to get the so-called "printed" functional tool from inside that powder? I insist that I do not believe it at all

  • They should be more clear about what they are doing and not misslead in this way. That wrench is not the result of simply scanning -> press print.

  • FAKE, 3:52 the wrench sounds like its made of metal

  • a7a

  • it doesn't actually replicate though, it just copies the shape. kind of like a ditto pokemon, but not.

and if you printed a printer it wouldn't print as it would lack the printer's electronics.

  • what will happen if you buy 3D printer and print 3D printer what will happen?

erm... sell it? earn money? true or fake??? er btw print GOLD? or money?LOL print MOON WTF...

  • Actually I thought they wouldn't be able to do this in space due to gravity, but realized soon they could put the printer in a giant centrifuge and balance the weight :-)))))

  • @Epzilohn or they could just take the things they need instead of that heavy fake printer and a giant centrifuge.

  • 0:08 engie

  • now a one-off from a blueprint, infinity times (yes)

  • a copy of a copy of a copy - eventually the fidelity breaks down

  • ...great invention but if you think to ALL the work places that could be saved, that's a doom.

  • think of printer cartridges containing the main building blocks of amino and minerals and other such necessary ingredients and you have a food replicator like on Star Trek next generation...it could print out the cup and coffee together as a whole for example.

  • @skinmonkey indeed and thats what we must come to terms with good or bad - i just wish we were culturally more prepared and less reckless

  • that powder would be tons of fun in space...

  • The powder would float everywhere in space? :S need to invent artificial gravity first..

  • They scan the object for its dimensions to work from, but it can't simply be uploaded to the printer as all the moving parts would have to be individually modelled with tolerances. Most likely the wrench they 'printed' was a completely separate type whose 3D model was already saved on the computers. Though a plastic wrench defeats the purpose of a wrench..

  • OMG THEY SHOULD DUPLICATE HUMANS

  • this.is.coooooool.

  • Cool, but look closely and you'll see the printed wrench is not the same as the original!

  • fake

  • This is an AMAZING invention don't get me wrong.. but the concern around these things is that it could really put the nail in the coffin for manufacturing jobs. Who needs a machine shop or production workers when you have this thing?

  • Print Myself A Girl ;D

  • Think of the nerdy possibilities....

  • Yeah great but it wasn't the same Wrench, the thread looks different and the ring at the end is different altogether. I think the scanning part is a little overdone / maybe fake

  • @HepheistoBD Yeah i was thinking that, I'm guessing the scanning thing is responsible for the overall shape of the design and its dimensions and its there to speed up the design process. But i imagine they have to use CAD or something to create the inner workings properly. Which is why it looks different. I noticed the wrench handle is also slightly different than the original.

  • woooowwww i want one

  • now add chemicals and stat printing out stuff like body parts or even food

  • shut up and take my money!!

  • but if you lost your tool in space, then you wouldn't have anything to copy.......

  • @gammaray850 Have a file of each tool logged. Nice thinking though... I thought the same thing..

  • I'd print a warhead and give it to my friend.

  • Ponytail. Fuck yeah.

  • 1:12 i thought that was a pig laugh xDD

  • PRIMER ON 3D PRINTING - Ted Talks

  • Ted Talk - 3D Printing !!

  • Yeah... no you don't have to go outside of your house at all. Also if everyone would own one, you could actually pirate some chairs and things.

  • you wouldn't print a printer that prints printers that print printers

  • dont believe this .... ¿why the "clon" tool is totally different than the original of steel? ...

  • Ok I'll ask the question... Could I print someone famous for me to keep? :P

  • Buy 3D Printer

    Print MOAR 3D Printers

    Sell 3D Printers

  • @mznqLT more not moar

  • @mznqLT GENIUS!!!

  • @jesman1985

    :D

  • @mznqLT Hahahhah, good point, sir!

  • @mznqLT rofl

  • Witchcraft I tell thee!

  • What is this sorcery?!

  • @maikoo25 printception...

  • can i print one of those printers to keep one for myself?

  • Can it make another xbox?

  • Too bad it can't print rubber ;)

  • as soon as one of those quadrocopter swarms get a hold of one of these printers its all over

  • nice sweater ...

  • Sounds like they want nasa to invest in this... one problem, that powder will float in space

  • Tell him to make a copy of that awesome sweater dude.

  • Chuck Norris printed this machine on his home printer

  • My schools getting a 3d printer.... ITS GOING TO BE AMAZING

  • "That's like a human hair width.." "Actually a little less." LOL pwned

  • French key is different than the scan see the hole

  • this will be banned by SOPA soon!

  • I really want to print a copy of that guy's sweater.

  • People, the point here is not that it's easy to scan, its that it's easy to print. I am pretty sure in the realworld, they would already have blueprints of all tools they need

  • Not the same design wrenches

  • OH .... MY .... GOD this is amazing!!!!!! :O

  • I actually got to this in a factory but I didn't get to see this in depth.

  • im gona get one, then go to the store and scan all the toools, toys, etc, never have to buy another thing ever again. but it would probably cost more to print it then to buy it?

  • I work for a 3d printing company, and trust me, it is not that easy at all. They would have had to do some extra digital prep work after that scan to make it even close to usable. People need to stop thinking that 3d printing is as easy as a startrek replicator.

  • @enger123 Thanks. Yeah I thought so.

Annoying that they're deceptive about it when they had a nice opportunity to teach us something interesting.

  • Can we do that with people?

  • i bet this shit gonna get banned cause its copies thing and the gman aint like copying

  • That finished wrench was no the same one that was scanned. Look at the hole in the bottom of the handle at 2:26, then look at the finished wrench at around 3:51.

  • @zgott300 woah you're right! weird

  • how can anyone dislike this? people are retarded

  • @Lermontovich Actually, hang on... They use another scanner, probably sonar, to determine any inner mechanisms. And moving parts might needed to be programmed in (like when he asked for that certain part to be red). They've just edited out all the more complex stuff to make it seem more amazing.

  • @Lermontovich I assume that the scanner thingy probably uses more than just visible light to scan an object, e.g. X-ray and/or infrared. That, or magic.

  • It's as easy as using the crafting box on Minecraft

  • Whatever, 4D printers are out already in Asia.

  • 230 VOLTS OMG @ 0:28

  • @SeriousUguu Can you say "Electric oven"?

  • HOW can this thing scan inside mechanism of tool?!

  • @Lermontovich thats what i was thinkning too! they must have some sort of x-ray thing that goes thru materials to scan the insides

  • @Lermontovich if asked myself the same question. But maybe with a CAD modell of the tool they can print even more complex mechanisms.

  • Why is Schemp hosting a television show?

  • Most of this video is completely ruined by the loud background music which has been put on, making it very difficult to hear quite a lot of the dialogue. I keep thinking "What are they saying?"

  • in 100 years, we'll look back at this video and think "wow such simpletons, being amused by such a primitive device"

  • Just scan a female. Give me a working one. Weird Science.

  • ... old news. We've had this at UT Austin for at least 4 years, since I was a freshman.

  • I think this will revoloutionize industry. Think of how many sex toys and blow-up dolls we can produce.

  • Can i scan in the body of emma watson so we can have a million of her and use her for sex?

  • @miyor123 Greatest. Idea. Ever...

  • @miyor123 i think i love you

  • @miyor123 If you are going to have sex with plastic, get a blow up doll.

  • @miyor123 Well sure, but they would be pretty HARD to have sex with if you know what I mean.

  • Why is moe hosting a tv show?

  • PC Load Letter....what the fuck does THAT mean?

  • You wouldn't print a car.

  • Can't wait till I can print my own car from pirated blueprints so I can finally give a big finger to those piracy ads lol!

  • You wouldn't download a wrench

  • PAPER JAM

    WHAT NOW?

  • How did he scan the inner workings?

  • oh my god i dont even

  • Copy a human being

  • PIRACY! IT WILL HAPPEN TO OBJECTS TOO!

  • TAKE MY FUCKING MONEY NOW!

  • But... Can it print crysis?

  • But does it blend?

  • @REACHinabox but can it play crysis?

  • WE LIVE INTHE FUCKING FUTURE

  • Does it also print people?

  • But this is seriously AWESOME!

  • I"m just waiting for the day when guns can be printed out ಠ_ಠ

  • @Aekerman lmfao xD

  • what in the fuck

  • Print a printer.

  • Print boobs!
