  • Interesting and well presented. I do think the 'fat burning zone' over complicates the issue of weight/fat loss for many. Your point about the 3 hours per week or 6x 30 minute session of activity a week I tend to explain to client as the cumulative calorie count. eg. 200 calories per activity session 3 times per week is a cumulative 31200 kcals per year. Assuming the accepted 9kcal per gram fat this is potentially over 7Ibs of fat per year! Walk to work, clean the car, just as effective!

  • This is fantastic really flips the lid on what we have been taught on how to lose weight, a friend of mine has done the fat burning zone and said he has lost so much body fat and dont even break a sweat on the treadmill
