FRAPS works by a GL hook, current screen recording software in linux doesn't do this. But also FRAPS gives worse performance than native play. Anyway, libseom is a step in the right direction, it works kinda like FRAPS, but its performance is not that very good on most machines either..
as it says in the description and my forum post, the lag is from the screen recording program, its about 2 or 3 times that fast with it off. but i can't record that :p
If your trying to show off how linux can run eve, you failed. It's running in slideshow mode.
However, i've seen, and done myself. So i know that on a moderate system, eve runs fine under wine/cedega.
And what a horrid pvp fit! Yuck!

as for the 'native' client. it's actually just the windows client running in Cedega, packaged up to install quickly and easily.

to record more close to speed put scale in seom to 1 and frame rate kinda..20 or something..in my video it became alright
