  • I build these at Holdens in South Australia, we have been making these builds for the US for a long time now just havent seen them in action on American footage. Every thing is built in Australia other then the ELS and Stickers. Different States have different colours so they apply the stickers and ELS in America. We even put the Chev badges on the cars, everything but yeah they are nothing new in Australia

  • jap is crap

  • what a piece of crap shit

  • @HamadHHAG LMAO.. and YOU have anything to beat it? OUTrun it? Doubtful, at best.

  • @HamadHHAG Ah, I see now.

  • @SirTrews34 yes there's

Ford Taurus V6 Stock vs the v6 caprice manual or auto

or SHO Taurus vs the V8 caprice

i think the future will change, full-size sedans may be only v6 and fwd

did you check the 2013 chevy impala?

  • @SirTrews34 ops sorry i forgot, even ford taurus is a lot stronger and better than this sport racing full size sedan

should be no competition with small cars as caprice/impala than full size cars Taurus

  • How come the Camaro isn't driving in Australia, but was designed there. Makes no sense.

  • yankees dont deserve a car as nice as a caprice.. look what they made it look like, ugly version of a caprice..pfft idiots.

  • I still love the Crown Vics. They are amazing. Why implement shit aussie cars?

  • @MrHellaspride Oh yes, American cars are so well known for quality.

  • @MrHellaspride we dont want our nice looking cars being dumb down for you americans either

  • @holdenls1ssz I am from Australia you idiot. I have driven a Crown Vic PI in NY and they are great cars.

  • @MrHellaspride I hope you know that the Camaro currenlty built now is built on the Zeta platform, same used in the commodore SS, and is engineered in Australia.

  • @MrHellaspride shut aussie cars? like gm makes good cars? :P most of gm sold stuff is crap nowadays. but i agree with you, why didnt they pick a jap vehicle? patriotism to american car manufacturers is damned expensive.

  • @jimmyhoffa9

I like the 01 Impala, but the problem with those is the front scrapes bottom on many hills.

  • крутые американские копы...булл шит

  • Both the Chevy and the Dodge are powered by V6 engines.

For the forthcoming years, Ford brought prototypes of its 2012 model Interceptors — a Taurus-based sedan and an Explorer-based SUV — with a turbocharged V-6 as the top engine.

    rice

  • @usmanh2000 'rice' Rice.

Fuck that. Crown Vic. As it was and ever shall be. Crown Vic. Ford. Crown Vic.

But kudos for trying!! Keep Ford on their toes. We'll definitely buy your 4WDs.

  • US policemen are to get the new Chevy Caprice, which from the test conducted by GM, is the fastest police vehicle for 2011. It’s top speed is 238 kmph and it is the fastest to reach 0 to 100 kmph as well as 0 to 161 kmph beating the new Dodge Charger Police vehicle and the aging Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor. These vehicles were tested in an annual testing by the Michigan State Police Precision Driving Unit. The results serve as a buyer’s guide for police organizations for fleepurchases.

  • @ GTO19020 Oh...i get it

  • if ford had put the new 5.0 in the crown vic and upgraded the transmission then fuck this thing. And why waste space in the center with a center column shifter put that thing up on the steering wheel where it belongs.

  • It looks a bit too comfortable in the back for a police car...nah idk if that would be suitable for law enforcement...seems less likely...

  • @asphaltassault100 its the adopted law enforcement car for 2012.

  • Nice to see you using your blues & twos. Any chance that you could educate our police force in the UK? I was nearly wiped out on my motorbike by a police car being driven like a loon without the blue lights on. Luckily I had my bike cam running.

    dogcamtrev

  • see what you did ford?? you had the best police car on the market, and you went and fucked it up with a front wheel drive taurus. it's between the chargers and the caprices now.

  • stop puggin ford aus, we be dead in a few years

  • Here is a video of a highly tuned 4.0L I6 example from a local shop. (Use youtube search for video title)

Nizpro 1163hp turbo six engine dyno

  • Go and investigate at (use google to search for these because Youtube blocks site addresses):

    Ford Australia site

    Holden site

    Ford Barra Engine

    Ford FG Falcon

    Holden WM Caprice

For those interested in performance and economy check out the Ford Falcon XR6T with Ford Australia's in-house turbo I6 engine: Power: 310 kW (416 hp) @ 5250 rpm, Torque: 565 N·m (417 lb·ft) @ 1950-5200 rpm. Fuel economy about 11-12L/100KM. Fastest car in the southern hemisphere.

  • @daveyfamily2 Are the XR6 T has 270kw (F6 has 310kw) and is not the fastest car in Southern hemisphere. The fastest car in southern hemisphere/Australia is the HSV W427.

  • Honestly these are the best RWD sedans on the planet for the money!! If you want better you would have to spend 2-3 times as much on a German car. Think about it, when running on CNG or LPG you get: fuel costs of a hybrid, in a car much larger, THE MOST FUN DRIVING EXPERIENCE aside from BMW & Mercedes, at a price more people can afford. Also you could take pride in the fact it is engineered and built in AUS/USA. US bar buyers start petitioning Ford & GM now!!!!

  • SUSTAINABILITY (some Gen 4 V8's have cylinder shut down and all engines can be converted to LPG or CNG which halves fuel bills from petrol). In Oz we also have Ford of Australia's Falcon. This car is noted for being more refined and having better 6 cylinder engines than the Commodore (smaller Caprice). I've always wondered why FoMoCo and GM don't import or assemble these models locally for US consumers who like great full-size sedans and wagons.

  • Hi from Oz! I live in the same city where the car is manufactured (Adelaide, South Australia). It's great to see that the full-size RWD sedan is still alive from local Oz & US manufacturers. In Australia, this style of car is highly valued because of RELIABILITY (tested through searing deserts and all over the place), POWER OPTIONS (GM V6 and GM Gen IV V8), DYNAMICS (local testers say that it's handling is close to a BMW 5-series at half the price).

  • yeah its my tax driving down the road

  • looks cheap and lame. then again, so does the taurus.

  • @email9354 It's actually very good... it was developed at the Nurburgring!

  • that is one cheap and ugly POS. Looks similar to the cheap government owned Chevy Cruze. eww

  • I love american police cars... but I'm from Italy!

  • i'd never choose this CRAPrice over my '89

  • fuck crown vic !! its caprice Bro !! u wont go away !!

  • It's rwd, with a big ass v8. Crime rate's gonna go WAY up when it snows.

  • @PeaceOfMind5

Our police cars have always been "RWD with a big ass V8."

  • who fuckin cares???? good for the cops lol like i give a fuck??

  • I mean charger

  • Ugly car cops should stick with crown vics and charchers

  • @cisco385 vic suck its not about looks it about power and comfort for the officer and this car has 100 more horses than the vic and also go 0-60 2 seconds faster than vic

  • @ its better thnn a vic..but the vic is old news... compare it to fords sho.. or the new RT chargers this car is in last place being ugly as all fuck and its out prefromed by the comp in looks and power to weight ratio and it has the biggest engine making least amount of power thats just sad

  • @2290Sean Dude, you realize that speed and power isn't everything here... I doubt the new PPV could do half of what a Vic can do and still stay running.

Let's not forget that if Ford would've tried to stay in the running, they could've just thrown the 3.5L Ecoboost in there and kicked the Chevy V8s ass with a TT V6. Don't forget the new Coyote 302 which pushes 420HP in base form. If they went with more of a T50 Cammer style setup they'd be pushing 550+ HP reliably.

  • @2290Sean

Big whoop, the Vic is an old car.

Besides, this thing would likely lose to a Vic or old early 90s Caprice iin a demolition derby.

  • دايو

  • LOL 0:41 - 0:44

  • man that car is ugly

  • 0:41 - 0:59 FAIL xD

  • amercicans still cant produce good cars..

  • @ForrestShields you feel better now you seem upset

  • Just the good old boys never meaning no harm - so day the mountains will get them but the LAW NEVER WILL !! YEE HA

This is Rosco peak coal train do ya copy over ??

  • fuck law enforcement!

  • i cant wait till cops go prius that way i can speed again

  • @JessePlaysGuitar HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA sadly that will never happen

  • its has an omega interior that crap

  • US police cars, this and the new ford, seam to be heading in the right direction for once, the crown vic should have been killed off many moons ago and it's good to see some of the more advanced vehicles from both companies being adopted BUT i can't see why they having followed Carbon Motors E7 in the use of diesel if economy is such a big factor. in the UK diesels are used for the same kind of duties with similar performance and larger gains in economy with cars like the BMW 330d/530d

  • Football, meat pies and Holden cars is what Australia is about !!! and sorry I forgot pussy on the beach. This is a Holden 6.0ltr V8 Statesman Caprice downunder - handles like a bit of a boat - strengths are in open road cruising around the outback.

  • @Croklokan Chevys are American Holdens. :D My boyfriend has a 6.0ltr V8 WH Caprice with rebuilt motor and is turbo'ed off it's tits. I nearly wet myself every time we go for a drive. :| But yes, the Caprice is best at cruising on the highway, it will make a good police car definitely!

  • I hope this Chevy is better than those POS they made from 91-96. When equip with the wimpy 305 V8, or the even worse 4.3 liter V8, a Yugo could beat you in a pursuit. I will give them some credit that the LT1 350 V8's were a much better option, but expensive to put fuel in. Best overall patrol car so far in my 21yr police career was a 87 Crown Vic, with the 351 V8. Even with the wind drag from the light bar, it would still hit over 140MPH. I never lost a car with that dinosaur.

  • and it has a custom made seat lol

  • Why a caprice? The crown vics are sweet. I almost bought a "retired" one. you can get them dirt cheap.

  • @PatrickTheHattrick92 you should have bought one, they are awesome cars

  • And it will cost the american people 1mil. per car.

  • Needless to say, but the 2011 Ford Interceptor 100% Better.

  • they should of grabbed the GTS only VE i like otherwise ford xr6 turbo is next

  • We do get spoiled in Aus, the cops use the shortened down version of the Caprice (Commodore SS sedan) which handles better again and is quicker .We also get the Ford Falcon XR6 turbo, a 4.0 ltr inline Aussie built six that puts out 270kwn which is quicker again than the SS.Both cars are very quick and alot of fun to drive, Good to see the States giving Aussie cars a go!.

  • @Brikkyz ah but those aint the only cop cars Australia uses though.

We also use Holden Barina Police Pannel Vans.

  • @Brikkyz yes and they would have been here earlier if Pontiac didnt fold. We got a taste of Holden with the GTO and the G8 but that was about it

  • @Brikkyz what cops use SS's? theyve all got sv6s

  • @n3m005 Depends on the state, Vicpol generally use SS commodores for the highway patrol and standard omegas for general duties.

  • Comment removed

  • just one question PLEASE.... the color of light.... blue at left and red at right IS UNIVERSEL ??? thx

  • * Holden Caprice

  • sucks

  • Well the crown vic looks way more mean. This looks like a girls car. Its hard to see this car in your rear view mirror and not think about smoking it. I gues we have to see it in action in LA. car chases lol.

  • @houseoffilly i was watching the unveiling of it on another video and it said eventually there will be v6's

  • Nice car, I wonder if this V8 powers down to 6 cylinders like many of the current v8 (Holden Models) currently running in Australia.

  • I hate how they call the commadore a caprice does not sound so menacing + chevy cant admit that this car is a holden not a chevy.

  • @boyah188 But it is a Caprice & not a Commodore, even in Australia. As for you saying "chevy can't admit that this car is a holden not a chevy" it's not a matter of admitting it is Holden or not, it's how the vehicle industry works .Vehicles get exported to countrys & sometimes they change the names to suit the local market because of history, different meanings etc. Do you get cranky that the Holden Epica does not get called a Daewoo, Holden Colorado instead of the Isuzu D-Max? list goes on!

  • @boyah188 Caprice is the long wheel base version, of the commodore.

  • GM cars are unreliable to begin with. Can't imagine how long this car would last under these conditions.

  • the high shifter on the ford is gonna be why this car doesn't sell... such a small thing but makes such a big difference

  • I think all the chevy people are mad because of Ford dominating the police car industry. The Crown Vic is one of the best police cars known to man, and all euro cars are shit. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure the Crown Vic has been dominating the police car industry for about 50 years (could be when the car was generally introduced).

  • @armyboy1207 - Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth actually had a significant share of the police/highway patrol vehicle market from late '50s through the early-mid '70s. The Mopar big blocks paired with the massive '60s-'70s body styles were fast, safe and comfortable. And hey, after going on a couple ride-alongs w/cops, comfort is important when one needs to use the car for 8 - 10 hour shifts.

  • Finally a proper police car rather than that crown victoria shit

  • @extremepsychogamer they werent that bad. had the 9c1 not been discontinued your chevy might have been around along with the ford. i like em both. a proper REAR drive squad car. main reaons is if your tires are spinning you still have steering. or a pit maneuver odds are you can continure the chase

  • @yamahonkawazuki

the crown victoria is slow and doesnt have proper handling; all it does is slide and crash. this chevy has proper handling and a proper engine. PERIOD

  • @extremepsychogamer ehh mine wasnt slow. ever. handled properly. as well. granted this chevy i will admit being rwd. and having a decently sized engine. id drive it and not complain.

  • why do not use power 4 cylinder turbo at the place of fucking BIG v8 gaz eater who made a lot of pollution

  • @TercelRacing69 A small motor in a big car means it has to work too hard and therefore is not reliable.

  • @TercelRacing69 - I'm a fan of 4 cyl turbo also, but with the often rough use cop cars get, probably wouldn't be cost effective to repair the turbos.

  • What a great place for our taxes to go...

  • PPV doesnt stand for Police Patrol Vehicle, it stands for Police Pursuit Vehicle.

  • holy shit that would beat any lambroghini any day.

  • holden commonwhore, made in Oz

  • fwd police car will fail

  • You forget to mention in the title, that this is an Australian built car.

  • @SouthEastStreet its american u dumbfuck

  • @IFyouREPLYYOULOSEnow but still australian built, Holden Statesman / Caprice

  • @mudkrab i dont know what u mean niggger

  • lucky cops!

  • 1,what kind of lightbar is that?2,wheres the siren at inside the car?i like the car,but i love the look of the crown vic.

  • Will it keep up with my 1.3L V-8 eater..?

  • @buhrrito haha hell no

  • @buhrrito if your talking about your rotary then I would be very concerned if you found one of these in your rear view mirror :)

  • @ tvperson1: maybe where you're from, but "Chevrolet" here in the states is just another car brand.... And Caprice is just a spin off of the Impala...... (Just Sayin')

  • ok now i want to get arrested .. just to get into that car .. =P

  • Why are you Americans using this luxury car for a police car?

  • @TVperson1 This is not a luxury car in the states, Cadillac & Lincoln are.. As well as Chrysler... The Caprice has a long history of being police cruisers here in the US, Namingly the 1992 Caprice with the LT(?)1 Crossfire Corvette engine in it.. (someone correct me if I am wrong on the designation, please!)

  • @GUMBYVLOG But the design was intended as a luxury car.

  • @TVperson1 I've seen Germans with police cars from Mercedes. Doesn't surprise me a bit.

  • Hey guess what? When aliens finally invade all you territorial jerkwads will have something better to do than argue over who makes the best SlimeGuzzleV16QuadCamGasChewer and you will unite to save Earth & your families from invasion. & when it's all over you'll go back to arguing again LOL

  • Can it smoke a VTech?

  • Hello

I wanted to show you the video

    Acceleration Caprice 2006

    watch?v=dij4FjX2KDE

    This is in Saudi Arabia

  • Why V8?? They eat sooo much gas. Americans these days: More cylinders= better. Why the Japanese: More computer engineering= better, their I-4 can overpower many V8s, INLINE 4 FTW!!!

  • @Kopa9009 thats why so many of the newer jap cars are going V configuration. and more than 4 cylinders. ur fabled GTR is now a V6

  • CHEVEROLET OWNS COPS LOL

  • Terrible Editing

  • It would also be ideal for those of us who like a big v-8-rear wheel drive car!!!

  • @crazyfooInc Wait, so its reliable even with all of those fuel tank problems and other things?

  • I'm going to miss the Crown Victoria no matter what anyone says; besides being an ICON of the American automobile, US/Canadian police, and taxis, it was an extremely reliable car! Possibly the last TRUE American car.

  • @crazyfooInc Also, if you think ford most represents america in cars, go google "American Cars" and tell me where ford is on it.

  • @Turtlepumpkin192

Just did actually; there were quite a few pictures of Mustangs, and I'm sure you know they're made by Ford. That, and I was just expressing my love for the Ford Crown Victoria PPV, it really is an icon of American/Canadian Law Enforcement. I say it is a definite American car because it is one of the last large rear-wheel drive family sedans around; and that demographic is associated with the "American" automobile.

  • I've test driven a 2010 HSV R8, a 2010 FPV F6 and a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO.

The Holden was predicably good, the F6 was better but the massive amount of torque the engine generates when accelerating hard would scare the shit out most drivers.

However I was very disappointed with the POS Taurus.

What a let down, it was slower, underpowered and without the precise handling of the other two.

It's true the aussie cars are like german cars and I know why americans buy German instead of US?

    QA

  • omg why dint he mention its Australian??? asshole!

  • thats a god damn aussie car no doubt, sold as a chevy in USA. FUCK YEA AUSSIE V8's!!!!!

  • @wtfgook94 Aussie car American v8

  • @wtfgook94 LOL @ the American owned Australian Auto industry.

  • @Sublime570 Holden is a centre of expertise in design and engineering for GM globally.

It's one of GM's nine global design centres responsible for vehicles such as the Holden Commodore and Chevrolet Camaro. Holden is also the centre of expertise for large, rear-wheel drive vehicles in the GM family as well as a major powertrain engineering centre with expertise in R&D and customer programs in V6 and V8 gasoline, CNG and LPG applications.

Face it, american cars are crap and you need our help.

  • @AUSSIEDAVEROCKS lolz again at American owned GM Holden.

  • @Sublime570 While you're wanking off over your patriotism consider this, GM only has PARTIAL ownership of Holden and doesn't actually own it outright.

GM basically has a PARTNERSHIP with Holden so don't get too excited and ejaculate over the thought of how clever you are.

But you are probably just jealous that nobody else in the world really praises the vulgar, poorer quality american built cars, so you make a feeble attempt to belittle Australian car makers who can build a decent car. LOL

  • @AUSSIEDAVEROCKS Yea i know, Holden is a subsidiary. GM bought partial ownership when Holden was bankrupt in the 70's. So thank United States for letting Holden exist. :)

  • @Sublime570 Yep Holden can thank GM for buying into them when the fuel crisis hit in the 70's but times have changed since then.

The US car makers used to be 'On Top' but they have steadily continued to drop downwards since then.

Now it's Holden who can help GM by building a better designed car for them to sell on your market.

America still has plenty of great engineers and designers, but they are held back by out-dated concepts and by still using inferior platform designs for your cars.

  • @AUSSIEDAVEROCKS You've looked at cars that were made in United States after the 90's right? We have very nice cars. Infact there's nothing at all wrong with our auto industry. Everything else has crumbled around it so no one has the money to buy them. So we turn towards japanese vehicles that are cheaply made and will last no longer than 10 years. But it won't matter since we only spent about $14k on a japan car rather $30k on a US car that would last 20 years.

  • @wtfgook94 except its an american v8...

  • @pepene93 That's pretty close, but you are aiming a bit North of the country where the engine was made.

GM's 6.0L V8 L76 engine is actually manufactured in Mexico not in the US.

So it's a really a Mexican V8 that's in the Caprice if you want to get technical.

  • @AUSSIEDAVEROCKS its a gm engine. therefore american. just like the toyota camry isnt an american car, its japanese

  • well its good to see that chevrolet is back in the police car market

  • I hope they sell this in North America as a civilian version too. I missed the boat when they discontinued the Pontiac line.

  • how about the german car police? BMW?

  • why dont' they have cops drive in a hummer.

  • @Quy4life Because Hummers are heavy n slow. but i have seen a Hummer police car in Australia

  • @HSVneel Actually the 2008+ Hummers H2s have a 6.2L V8 that allow it to reach 60 mph under 8.0 seconds, thats quicker then the Expedition and the Tahoe

  • @rangerover06sc yeah i know i tht, thts what i call slow for a cop car they could've used the ford territory

  • @rangerover06sc yes i know tht. but they could've used a faster suv like the ford territory.

  • @HSVneel Aside from the Turbo version, the H2 would likely be quicker, eventhough reviewers have recorded a 0-60 time of 7.2 seconds which matches the territory turbo. It would also be more durable seeing how it basied on a truck not a car. Plus it would be excellent for chasing or following people off road, seeing how it has a real full time 4wd system and lots of ground clearance

  • @rangerover06sc wow i didn't know the Territory was tht slow cause my uncle says tht his unmodified territory ts 07 does 0-60 mph in 6 secs anywaz i would prefer the Hummer for a cop car than the ford territory though n yes the hummer is a good 4x4 n it does have lots of ground clearance so i agree with u the Hummer is a better off road 4x4 police car :)

  • @HSVneel Well, a source i found said 7.2 seconds to 60 mph, but it could faster.

  • @rangerover06sc fair enough..

  • @Quy4life because they are big time guzzlers and are not quite as nimble as a sedan

  • @Quy4life they do in NY but they r not just standard

  • The new taurus SHO and the E7 is a better choice

  • 42 lol dimitri rascalov

  • I DONT FUCKING WANNA DOWNLOAD CARLSBERG APPLICATION!!!

  • The Chev Caprice Police pack is an rebadged Austrlain Holden the styling is horible dam ulgy no class which Police vehicles need and its shocks wear quickly and it doesnt turn well..

  • How come this guy is driving like a retard...

  • crown victoria still is no.1 your caprice sucks, even the interior is shitty...cmon guys from the 5 0, seriously/ you like this piece of crap, tahoe is good but the caprice sucks and its pretty ugly...i would laugh with that kind of vehicle on my back

  • @SuperButch888 hey have you looked at the HOLDEN caprice V that they sell in Aus thts the original 1 u can't say thts crap.

  • @SuperButch888 hey, don't hate..in comparison with the crown vic AND charger, this thing has the most interior space, the fastest top speed along with the fastest 0-60 and 0-100 times, shortest braking distance, and even the best handling due to it's near 50/50 weight distribution....yeah, it may not be the prettiest cop car in existence, but that's not what matters..

  • @aarjor123 But is this car safe? Like if a officer were to get in a crash.

  • @clanaef well, the framing and body structure is made of high-strength and ultra high-strength steel, not to mention it will have a plethora of air bags....so it should be plenty safe

  • Very big shit this new caprice!!!!

  • I thought the Ford Police Interceptor would take the Crown Vic! FORD POLICE INTERCEPTOR RULES!!

  • so thats what a rebadged G8 looks like

  • @Muddinguy This basically has the same chassis as the G8 but has a longer wheelbase.

  • Sorry Chevy, the Ford's better. Send that thing back down under where it belongs.

  • @quirpco pointless

  • 國外的警車都做的很好
