  • SO FUCKIN LAZY.... AND MY CREW WIL BLOW HAT SHIT OUT 10 TIMES FASTER WITH JUST TEAR OFF BARS..... OLD FUCKS

  • @whyareyou221 Where's the video proving it, you little puke.

  • @roofbutcher

Curiously, how long did it take to do this job with this product vs. with normal hand labor?

  • @kouchkartoffelmann There are eight different rip jobs on this video, so I'm not sure that your question can be answered.

  • @whyareyou221 that's not being lazy. that's being efficient. if he was lazy he wouldn't be doing it at all.

  • @whyareyou221

What would be wrong with making a job easier? You are using some sort of electronic product to view this video. Don't computers make your job easier?

What a hypocrite you are. This guy is smart for not wasting excess time breaking back to just clean off shingles. In these applications, time is often 'of the essence'. Don't be a tool. Use the tools.

  • What size air compressor do you need?

  • @BrokenRRT 5 horse and 3/8 line

  • what size compressor are u using

nice tool, but kind of slow

  • @ChA0sxDeM0n I'm using a 6 horse gas compressor.

  • what size compressor are u using

  • I went to amsterdam last summer and a lady used that same device........ a minature donkey was also a part of the act. aaahhhh the arts........ :)

  • Bet the nabors love that at 5:30 in the morning.

  • hey I bought one today. I'll let you know how I like it. I bought the air ripper head.

  • I have been roofing for 27 years, the tool looks like a good waqy to go for three and four layer tear offs. Is there a package deal on buying the air ripper and a manual ripper?

  • @bsimons720 Sorry, but my prices are already as low as I dare

  • Butcher for sure

  • @roofrepairspecial Thanks for the compliment! You have some good videos BTW.

  • thats lazy thats cadillac bullshyt tool hard labor is the way to get r done

  • @361Antonio Yeah, why work smarter when you can work harder

  • your a hacker put your back into it you pussy id rip that in 5 mins pussy

  • @seanmanzsucks You can do better? Post a video proving it. Otherwise you have nothing but a mouth… boy

  • @roofbutcher haha okay buddy sorry i dont waste my money on a video camera to show some lazy wanna be roofer how to do his job. Go back to your vibrator all your doing is making a fucking mess congrats you got the shingles off now spend the rest of the day cleaning it up.

  • is good to know that there is another way or tool to do the job, you might need it someday, you tube is to share ideas or new methods not to ofend someone. Good job ROOFBUTCHER.

  • @2miangelsThanks 2miangels. It’s refreshing to see that there’s still some enlightenment around.

  • where can i buy one?

  • @chego132 Hi Chego. They are available at roof shingle removal tool.com

  • cool tool, man beats rip-tearing 3 layers with a pitch fork. even better when you cant walk the roof, cool shit

  • @SuperAnt33 Thanks bud. Remember the old days when we had to strip those layered pigs by hand?

    Take care.

  • just man up and tear it off, what a waste

  • @pigeon989

Talk is cheap. You can do better? Post a video proving it. Otherwise you’re nothing but mouth.

  • @roofbutcher dude lay the fuck off.

  • @pigeon989 You started it when you bad-mouthed my work. Now "man up" and take your medicine.

  • @roofbutcher really man. ur just going to show what a lack of intelligence it takes to do roofing.

  • @pigeon989 ha so true. spoken like a man whos been on the roof.

  • @geraldbret lol, im 21 and ive had my own business for a year. it doesnt take a rocket scientist. and im really not interested in competing with some dumbass over youtube lol

  • @pigeon989 lol i was responding to the comment where you said man up. im on a crew myself and that is one of the most common phrases i hear get thrown around all day.

  • true, i'll probably take the sit and nibble approach, on my house. home depot does sell a compressor for $500.

  • @driger888 AJC's "Shin-Go" is my favorite among all the shovel-type rippers I've tried. Get yourself one of these, and it won't go too bad. Good luck and stay safe.

  • the tool says you need an air compressor that delivers 10 cfm @ 90 psi. how many dyier's have an air compressor like that? or want to spend a $1000 dollars to buy one?

  • @driger888 Hi drigger

Good point. Joe homeowner, who has only to do his one multi-layered roof, may be just as well off to struggle through it with the old sit-and-nibble. However, a pro who is regularly faced with a multi-layer might appreciate a power tool.

  • Youve been up there, so you can guess that a 110 compressor simply does not have the (sack) to rip a multi-layer at a decent rate and that mounting a sufficient power source directly to the tool would result in a heavy, cumbersome machine. Therefore, if we want a nice power stripper, were stuck buying the big compressor.

The DIY option is the best I can do price-wise. It would be a disservice to my fellow roofers not to offer it.

  • My personal experience says you should try TILE-MOLDS . com ! The best tile roofs i've seen!

  • cool tool,i'm thinking about getting it. i'm kind of skeptical about using it on strapping though. the guy in the video is creating more work for him self then he needs to the way he uses it...

  • @RAISEALITTLEHELL Havent tried it on strapping, though some of the old barns here in New England might come close. On one hand, its easy to aim the tool and control the cut. On the other, the tool needs some surface to ride on. The ripping head is 5 inches wide with 1.5 inches between teeth, so straps less than 3.5 inches wide (allowing three teeth on the surface) may well prove difficult.

  • Pitch fork is faster!

  • It can be, depending on roof conditions. For those easier jobs, check out the non-powered version. Not limited by tooth length, it has infinite penetration and yields long strikes on rough deck. Similar to the pitchfork, but longer and lighter, you might like this tool if you gave it a chance.

  • That is pretty amazing. You'd have to be crazy to be stripping roofs and not have one of these. That last shot with the guys wearing safety harnesses - holy $#%@ - you gotta have some balls to do that job.

  • That tool sucks. I would smoke that tool with a pitch fork and a hammer

  • Click right on that blue name beside the comment and check out his uploads. See anything to back up those words, or do we have yet another little boy with a big mouth here on u-tube?

  • I wonder how this would work on a flat roof with about a 3" thickness of roofs built up over a hundred years or so like we find around Brooklyn sometimes. It's like lasagna. Usually we chop them into lines about 2' wide with axes and then peel them up with pry bars and scrapers etc.

  • I am an old shingle jocky and have little experiance on comercial roofs. Thus I can't make any claims as to the performance of the tool in those conditions. You'll have to use your experience while viewing the demos and info on the website to determine if it is worth a try.

  • How's the vibration on the hands?

  • Ever run a jack-hammer or an air chisel? About like that. Also consider the abuse your joints take when slamming away at these multi-layers with a hand tool.

  • That's a lot of vibration, but as you say, it's a trade off with hacking and chopping etc. You designed and built this yourself?

  • so... you put an air chisel on the end of a pipe and this is an invention?

  • The actual invention is the toolhead. Not limited by tooth length, it has infinite penetration and allows large amounts of POWER to be applied to the task. Theres a five-horse gas engine pushing that ripper. Pretty sweet in the heavy layers.

  • You might call this fast and easy, I call it lazy and time consuming!

  • Click that blue name beside the comment and check out his uploads. Does he show any actual work getting done, or is he yet another little boy with a big mouth here on U-tube?

  • Once again your being a deuche bag! My bad for not having any videos of me working unlike you, you have like 30 roof related videos! All it would take is one video of me and my co workers working to show a descent roof removal job! All I said was that this Method sucked! By that other comment it seems as if I'm not the only one who thinks so!

  • you're probably an old roofer that doesn't know any better. your breed is disappearing fast. thank god.

    great product.

  • Haha that's funny I'm 21 years old! I can see where your coming from but maybe that's why I prefer doing this more physically! Wich I bet your probably older and more useless that's why you would prefer powered tools! Hey everyone works differently, I think there's no right or wrong way!

  • why work hard when you can work intelligently. up to this day i've never met an intelligent 21 year kid. however, if you're working roofs, i do have the utmost respect for you. not an easy job. be safe.

  • its too slow
