For a lot of people, this is hard to do on it's own let alone after a traumatic experience. Some stay to themselves because they don't know how to open up to others and some stay to themselves as a defense mechanism. Each person is unique and it's that uniqueness that needs to be respected

I know there is more to my own *personal* trauma,and also like you, I get snippets of a certain time in my childhood, but my memory will not reveal *exactly* what...so I don't go there. Someday I will...
