how can you us the your truck in the water if the fan is not water froff is there eny point in water profing the esc if you can not water prof the fan

It seems to do ok, but I took that setup out and put a twin VXL in it.

It would be easier to just tell you since I don't really want to go buy another body and paint it. All I did was use an airbrush to paint the black spots randomly, then the gray spots, then I backed it with white. That simple.

Where did u get the waterproof tape from??? I really want to know this will determine wether I get a velinion waterproff brushless motor, or the mamba.

so mempey im suposed to get lipos for christmas and cant wiat and rite now im runnin 4200mah venom nimh batts in it and i get about an hour of run time or it just seems like it lol but the motor gets kinda hot is that ok and u run 5000mah in ur truck is ok to run those batts like knowing run time will it hurt the mamba monster motor if it gets really hot after running?

It should be fine, as long as the motor doesn't get above 180 degrees or so.

The motor is waterproof, ESC isn't. I put electrical tape on the batteries to help protect them, and also I put some tape over the balancing tabs.

I only run it on 4s, I am affraid that if I put 6s in it I will explode the tires. I am not sure what the top speed is, 40is maybe.

Yeah, I use Turnagy. I have a Hyperion duo charger from Maxamps.

ive been looking for a crawler that when i get bored with crawling i can open it up and go all out, the summit is the only one i can find that i can do that with, what is the average price for a summit

Axial makes a rtr Scorpion AX10, I don't know much about it but it looks like it crawls and runs fast. I guess similar to the Summit. The Summit is around $500. I love it though, lots of fun. A great truck to get your feet wet in crawling.

@mempey the ax10 is wicked its more of crawler than the summit, bashing can still be done but its not a great basher summint is more durable i have both.

its hard to see how u made the plug in for the lights, i need a power outlet for a heatsink fan on my slash 4x4, is it just a Y connector/adapter, on the esc to rx wires?

The Summit comes wired with 10 lights, there is a y adapter that comes with the light bar. There should be a plug on your esc for a fan.

oh sorry i didnt mention i switched from the vxl esc to a mamba max pro, ive been in the hobby too long not to know this! other people are telling me i can just plug it into my rx (futaba 3pm fasst)

mempey at how much amps should i charge my turnigy 3s 5000mah 20c battery while it is balancing???

I charge mine at 3amps. You could charge them at 5 but it is better if you charge them at a lower amperage. Ageneral rule of thumb is you take the mah (5000) and devide by 1000. That equals the max amperage.

the main rezn i get 2.4 is cuz the entenna looks stupid if its reely long. my emaxx has 700s in it but my slash and erevo are brushless. rustler doent run anymore.

haha damn you man, making the summit look ultra good. I ordered the same remote and some other goodies for my summit. I am saving up for a MMM atm. And I also plan to go for the black body and May be even black chrome wheels. The fake beadlocks on the rims cut up my tires sidewalls. But ya I love my summit too and another good video dude. 5*s

But why didn't you bought some LiPos wich are made for use under extreme and wet conditions?

I run my Summit with 2x2S LiPo from Carson in a Hardcase and hade no Problems with them.

Could you do one thing for me? I have the E-Revo and my friend has the Rustler vxl. We want to be able to run them together but sadly we both have the red channel. So are you saying that if I upgrade my E-Revo to the 2.4 ghz control system, you could run as many cars as you want without any screw ups in the connection?
