first time I heard this was on a camp bus heading to putt-putt I was totally digging the guitar in this and the synthesizers. When it ended I was bummed because I thought this was playing on the radio and I couldn't hear the lyrics that well, So I wouldn't be able to look it up later online. I found out after it ended that my counselor was playing his ipod and he told me the name of the song. Thank God

Sorry that I was late on Black Kids,but "Boyfriend" didn't slay me...it was "I'm making eyes at you" I am in the US and someone made me listen to it,and I became a fan. I am happy that you were there WAY before me,but I jumped on before "boyfriend" I get why you feel that way. Having been a Death Cab fan from 1999,I can see it.

i think it's the vocal style that makes it sound a little like the cure. But even still, they sure are a great band and I'm glad they're making it big cause they deserve it :)

that I can agree with (the vocal style-thing), but aren't there a lot bands who has a little bit the same style? I don't know so many bands, but I can just imagine that many band's been inspired by the Cure. (It's just how I think)

You mean the secondary percussion or just the fact that there's a bridge? Something strange does seem to happen to the secondary percussion at the beginning but it may be other instruments drowning part of the rhythm out. Sounds fine once the bridge kicks in.
