@TheEbonicslover Jim DeMint is a great and humble man. He supported Rand and other conservative and libertarians candidates EARLY ON with his "senate conservatives fund". He is not a rigid ideologue and recognizes some differences in foreign policy goals amongst he and his libertarian colleagues. Believe me, he is a friend to those of us who support both Dr. Pauls as well as the U.S. Constitution. For his efforts, he is hated by republican senators as well as senators from the left.

Personally, I think the threat of a nuclear bomb being set off inside the U.S. by a terrorist is serious enough to warrant the extension of the Patriot Act. We can only think about letting it expire once we've ended our wars and seen reduced levels of threatening terrorist activity. Even then we will still need to take extra precautions.
