The More famous that person is... the more likely they died very fast.... Seriously... think about the greatest leaders and famous person dies much faster.... eg: Alexander The Great... is it 20th 0r 30 years old he died.. so does Elvis here.... hmmm...

@MrJohnMark21 Most famous people die young because they either work too bloody hard (which typically results in strokes, bad diets, drugs, etc) or from pure misfortune (car crash, assassination, etc).

I really hope that Elvis made it. I read Larry Geller's book "If I Can Dream" and it showed that Elvis' personal beliefs about Jesus differed from the Bible. In fact, it shows how "new age" Elvis was with..numerology, various occult books etc. Anyway, I hope Elvis did realize that Jesus is the only way to heaven before he died and accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. I could see negative comments coming from people who haven't read Geller's book. Thankfully God is the judge.

ELVIS was a very very devoted christian saved by the grace of JESUS CHRIST as he shed his blood for all mankind. ELVIS worried that he was failing GOD when in actuallity he was doing what GOD wanted him to do. Yet he too was a man with needs and hopes and desires the most wonderful thing he ever did was SING. thats why he said I JUSY KEEP SINGING THE SONG. His songs were in his heart. it's nice of course that Elvis said it, but how about all those kings everywhere in the world? I believe somewhere in the bible stands that Jesus is the king of kings. So that acknowledge the existence of other people that can be king. Right?

@sgtBilko75 Hi!! The sign, said he was THE KING ( I can confirm this since a friend from Notre Dame who attended that concert told me about it), not the King of Rock and Roll. So, with that in mind, and since Elvis knew he as not "the King", as stated in the banner, he reacted the way he did. I wish the tape was longer, so that it can also be confirmed that Elvis had to say it twice, to remove the banner, or else.

@pulmon66 The reaction was similar with the Apostle Peter & Paul. People were worshipping them as God. When they saw it they rent their clothes in dread and fear of God. They knew it is dangerous and even eternally destructive for anyone else but God Himself to be worshipped as God and anyone else to receive any diety glory other than God Himself. Only the Diety Godhead Himself can receive the glory and acknowledgement as God. No one else in the universe does not.
