  • it was going so well until u guys bloody laughed goshh !! i was actually enjoying it ya'noe

  • i want to play english horn sooo bad D:

  • 23 tubas disliked this!

  • Left is a oboe, middle is english horn, whats the right one?

  • @geekygeek100 An oboe. Lol

  • very good!!! Compliments!!!

  • :) hahahahaha

  • I have never heard a Cor Anglais aka English Horn referred to as a "Tenor Oboe" . Never, ever - in 45 yrs of dealing with musical instruments. It can correctly be called the "tenor voice of the family" or even "the alto voice of the family" because- it sounds a fifth lower than an oboe and there is a Baritone/Bass Oboe below it. . But the tenor horn has a name- and it's not "Tenor Oboe" -it's Cor Anglais/ English Horn.

  • @moucon I didn't refer to it officially as a Tenor oboe. I called it an english horn. I was simply explaining that it is, literally, the tenor oboe in the oboe's family of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. Tenor oboe may be correct...but English horn/cor anglais is its normal name.

  • Let's get something straight people: the middle "oboe" is an english horn, or 'tenor oboe'. it is NOT a bass oboe, because the bocal is too short. Nor is it an oboe d'amour, the bocal is too long. It is also not a different 'sized' oboe. It is JUST a lower part of the oboe family.

  • You're all wrong, the middle one, is cute.

  • @mrsstrawberrypie Me to, I have learned to adjust to playing with clarinets and flutes.

  • i love how they are moving around and getting into the piece and stuff. Im very impressed!!! Good Job!

  • saver the cheers in the end

  • great tone quality

  • The English horn is actually pretty big compared to the oboe. Hmm.

  • Right that's it, I'm learning the oboe, after gettin to grade 7 on the flute I'm up for something new!

  • @steph2010ism i went from flute to oboe as well, its a really easy transition

  • middle is a engrish horn

  • @pockle228 no, its a bass 0b0e.

  • @UpcomingJedi actually, a "bass oboe" is the bassoon. so, all of you who have said "bass oboe" are either blond, or just plain stupid.

  • @dklancow98 There actually is a bass oboe, and it is not a bassoon. search "bass oboe" on youtube and you'll see.

  • OOO an english horn never seen it before

  • i play the oboe as well but mine is small

  • Don Juan? Someone should arrange the Final Trio from Der Rosenkavalier for your group, too! Great sounding!

  • WHAT THE HELL IS LIKE BRR IN THE MIDDLE BUT OFF LEFT EVEN MADE WITH THOSE STICKS?

  • what the hellll ? why are they alll different sizes ? thouuught the oboe was one size allll rouuuuund ?

  • @KykyBooh there is different sizes for different pitches! =D the longer thicker one's are lower and the smaller thiner one's are more high pitched like a piccolo! =P i play oboe to!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

  • @ladygagaismyhero4lif Noooooooooo. no.no.no.no. The middle thing is called an english horn. There are no diffrent sizes. Its either an oboe or its not. There is also picloboe and a sopranissimo oboe. But they dont make diffrent size oboes. Noob.

  • Is an oboe an english horn???

  • @ihavethe4ce no.

  • @ihavethe4ce from the oboe family, nice work btw

  • I love how its hard to see the reed and looks like they ate a sour lemon lol

  • do english horns sound different than oboes i was just wondering my email is karatekitty9@yahoo.com

  • @grannystudio yes but by the slightest bit

  • What a great sound (and laugh!)

  • How do you get two oboists and an English hornist to play in tune? Shoot one. :3

Jk, jk. Seriously, you guys sounded good. Liked.

  • whoah in the middle what kind oboe is that?

  • @sm1Ley50 That is an English Horn.

  • the onin the middle...

    was an english horn.

as i like to call it, an oboe knockoff

  • cool.It was a little short. all those instruments are sooo expensive!!! Oh well. good job.

  • oboe, bass oboe and cor anglais?

  • Awesome, but the middle one is an English horn.

  • Where to buy a cheap oboe?

  • wow. not bad!

  • emily?

  • english horns are so beautiful lol i love them i wish i could play it also.. but they are so expensive

  • beautiful music

  • sounds beautiful

  • beautiful! :D

  • i play oboe and bassoon

  • love it. I'll be learning to play the oboe soon. I kind of like the english horn more because it's big.

  • Is this at John Mack oboe camp? It looks like the rooms at the camp.

  • Try not to move around. it makes it harder to play.

  • who wrote this?

  • The middle one looks more like a Cor Anglais.

  • go oboe!!!!

  • can i join u guys :)

  • That's great!

  • FUCK YOU

  • @caseew y

  • Goo Flutes lOlsz. Ndd Theyy Dntt ALll Luk Like Oboes either!

  • @mixedicecream418 they are all in the family, i'm guess the bigger one is a english horn/cor anglais which is a perfect 5th below the oboe, and is in the key of 5

  • you mean in the key of f?

  • girls if you dont respect music you wont play it..

  • C'mon guys, oboe trio... that's an English Horn! ;)

  • Really, really lovely. Shame it's so short! Before I switched to bassoon, I played oboe. Favourite original solo piece was 'Walled Garden Blues', by Philip Hansell (Phylloscopus Publications). Played some of his duets as well. Favourite arrangement was by my music teacher of a beautiful melody that occurs near the end of Michael Kamen's 'X-Men' score.

  • Which movement or part of Strauss' "Don Juan" is this? Thank you ;-)

  • very well done! the tone is very good. and its funny, because im the only one that plays oboe in my school too!

  • Very very cool ;-D There's a lot of feeling in this =D Congratulations =)

  • thats cool! and it looked like a lot of fun too ;) very nice.

  • English Horn and Cor Anglais is the same instrument, kids. (;

I love this! The tone is beautiful for all three, and the balance is superb!

  • Is that an english horn in the middle?

  • cor anglais i think

  • coolio i play oboe too:)

  • omg this sounds amazing! :D

and its in tune thats the great part! :D

  • @mrsstrawberrypie

My best friend plays oboe and he's the only dude who can play in our school. Your not alone.

  • There's two more in my school. But they all suck more than I do. (Not that I'm anywhere near even passable)

  • Sooooo cute ^-^

  • XD Nice...I wish I could play that good, but...I sound like a dying parrot when I play...DX

  • I think the middle one is English horn not an oboe

  • yep.

  • one of it isnt an oboe....its an...english horn....

  • No you can't.

  • this sounds great! I don't know what your talking about. Gosh, don't be so envious!

  • it's an english horn core anglis and oboe

  • oboe nicarama? in what language?

i don't know that, and i'm "quite experienced" with oboes....

This looks and sounds indeed like a "cor anglais", same thing as an english horn. which actually is a type of bass-oboe.

  • actually, that is an oboe nicarama. And yea, I play one

  • good sound!

  • Great, but why does the oboe in the middle look SSOO big? ^_^

  • english horn

  • its a bass oboe i think

  • its not an oboe, its called an english horn

  • also known as a cor anglais

  • Comment removed

  • wow... so improfessional, nice playing though, but stopping to laugh...tisk tisk.

  • unprofessional? it's not like they're in a concert

  • they may not be in concert, but if your making the "performance" public to the internet, they could at least finish the song, leaving it unfinished made me mad. I mean their tone and balance is really nice. I just wanted to see more.

  • Ah, I see what you mean...but Youtube is really so informal..

  • therefore it's a double negitive, but they could have at least finished it.

  • or you could have just watched something else

  • i could have, but i still wanted to see them finish the song.

  • The middle"oboe" is an english horn

  • @kitharistis95 its a Cor Anglais......

  • @kitharistis95 it's a tenor "oboe".

  • @VioLynn0803 no it is not a tenor oboe lol.. its is a English Horn aka 'Cor Anglais'

  • @oWntROFLnOob Yeah, and also the tenor voice of the oboe family. Just like there is an oboe d'amour (alto) and bass oboe. So, I'm right, and it's is technically a tenor oboe that goes by the name "English Horn" while it is neither English or a Horn. In fact, Tenor Oboe is actually musically correct. Kthxbai.

  • lol

  • the middle one is an oboe? o.O

  • What kind of oboes are those?...ive only herd of one of them....and thts the one i play...i suck at it

  • Hooray for Don Juan in parallel organum! Definitely makes the best part of that piece even better lmao...y'all have lovely sounds though!

  • that sounded awesome i wish you could have finished though

  • really good sounding

  • The one in the middle was a english horn!

  • is that a bass oboe??????????

  • english horn.

  • lol, a bass oboe. hahahaha

  • cool

  • one of them is a english horn

  • DUH

  • General oboe trio format: 2 oboes, english horn

  • que simple tengo 12 años y lla toco en la orquesta

  • Very well done, I play oboe along the side an i'll tell you that its a very strong challenge to get 2 oboes and a english horn together.. The camera sound quality is bad but you seem well in tune. Keep it up and actually try to go for scholarships ( because im getting one )

  • in the middle the girl is playing english horn or bass oboe or cor angalis as its known it has many different names. its sounds so amazing though!

  • um, no retard, a bass oboe is completely different instrument. you fail.

  • bass oboe and english horn are not the same instrument...

  • English Horn = Cor Anglais

Bass oboe = lower oboe with the spherical bell but NOT a bocal.

  • The chords are so nice! Aren't they all different types of oboes? An oboe, english horn, and bass oboe? Sorry, oboe is not my specialty :). Bassoon is:)

  • yes, there is the "hautbois d'amour" (i am french) and the "cor anglais".

  • looks like 2 oboes and and english horn

im pretty sure there is no such thing as a bass oboe, maybe there is? idk lol

  • Cor Angalis / English Horn / Bass Oboe.

They're all names for that 1 instrument I think.

  • Comment removed

  • i think it does have a bocal

  • Comment removed

  • bass oboes have bocals

  • nice!

  • choral chords (i love them)

  • Whats The Oboe In The middle called With The Strap on It

  • english horn.

  • u idiots! they aren't even lifting their fingers to PLAY notes!

  • with the oboe it is best to keep ur finger movement to a basic min

  • @VietJerseygirl actually, they are. check out the girl on the left. and if you knew anything about oboe then you would realize that. and when the girl at the end laughs and spits out her reed, you can hear it in the piece. it's not fake.

  • ahh you sounded good

  • i love this! i play the oboe and so does my friend. You are all so good!!

  • at one point they take the instrument out of their mouth but the music keeps playing?

  • it's obviously out of sync. nothing big

  • awesome!

  • fake?

  • sounds good! :)

  • the middle is an english horn weirdos

  • your right

  • it that an english horn or a bell extention

  • thats an english horn my friend. i just got one. i'm so excited!!!

  • EH! aaaahhhh!!! where'd u get one?

  • cool arrangment. probably not what strauss intended. it makes don juan seem like a stalker rather than a seducer. and by the way, two oboes and EH is an oboe trio.

  • thank you for pointing that out alliekay900

  • that ain't an oboe trio...its 2 oboes and an english horn

  • it's are 2 oboes, and one english oboe ;) i have tried it, and it's are like an oboe, but bigger, and have different sound ;)

  • that was wack. they were all playing at one dynamic level and showed no musical maturity... especially when they all started laughing... immature playing.

  • have you never heard of having fun and posting a video on YouTube?

  • eveyone is a critic.. dont you know what PLAYING FOR FUN means??? hello? jerk. playing oboe, or any instrament for that matter isnt about what the product is or anything, its about having fun and doing what you love. and then being proud of your accomplishments.. can you even play oboe? just getting it to make a good sound is hard enough so cut them some slack. they are just having fun being friends and doing what they love. the laughter proves it.

  • I'd like to see u play! Gerk

  • I can see how it's so funny. They're standing so close together, breathing and swaying together and glancing at each other. HILARIOUS!

  • nice!! i play an oboe too

  • sit down

  • theres an english horn in the middle

  • hey thats simply superb! well done! (try not to laf tho!)

  • OMG i love english hornsss

i want to learn how to play them but i don't have access to one sadly

  • Which is a big problem in our society, I think....I couldn't play English horn, oboe, or a good bassoon for lack of access, also.

  • gorgeous sounding trio!

  • AAaaaaargh English Horn ! So beautiful !

    That'a a lovely piece.

  • it sounded great up until u laughed!
