  • Jesse will b around 4 a long time,funkin it up!!!!!!!

  • Funkiest jam of all time!!!

  • I remember this song, I use to love the sound of "stripped down funk" Prince, The Time, the super freak himself Rick James, and this guy Jesse Johnson to name a few...yep the 80's were the best time of my life, was so damn lucky to have gone thru it, from my teens until I turned 21 were the best times of my life.......and the music and fashion definitely left a imprint.....my kid is now stuck on the 80s......good times.

  • i have always love the music of jesse, the time,prince..etc that minne sound....but this song is 1 of my favorites by jesse i love the way he mixed 3 guitar styles on this remix rock.jazz,funk.......that's y he's the man,i saw the time last year n jesse has lost a lick still jammin love it.....waitin to c them again..the music of today is ok but has no musicianship that y some act dont tour..these guys stayed on tour i miss them

  • this was a hot dance trac that djs played in 87 real hot

  • real good guitar player too, he could play funk, rock, jazz....like kravitz kinda. but more funkier

  • This R&B track is one of my favorites from this talented guitarist, the groove is real funky, and his vocals are a perfect fit for this, this is 80's funk at its finest.

  • Yeah I always felt that Jesse never really got the credit or exposure that he deserved. Hearing the energy in this sound just brings back a great period in music for me.

  • THIS WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITES

  • Besides the 60's I agree with Tomei1 the 80's was the shit period!

  • what happens to the song at 3:39? great extended version

  • Back in the 80's and early 90's not only did the minneapolis sound RULE but it revolutionized music and you can STILL here it today in some songs. For those of you who didn't get the chance to live in the 80's it was the best decade in history. There will NEVER be another. But let's hope so!

  • I want my 80's back.

  • me too....this music makes u wanna stay stuck in time

  • @Tomei1 I agree nothing beats the 80's 90's up to 2010, As for being another decade like it , NO WAY, today's generations is all redo's & make overs of the original songs, in which it really sucks, because no one can make anything NEW Original songs. No music of today can't beat the original hits of 80s in any type of music!

  • Hey ambit007 don't forget about Alexander O'neal.

  • what ever happened to this guy?

  • Johnson's solo albums were collected on 2000's Ultimate Collection, the album includes b-sides, 12" versions, album tracks and one previously unreleased song called "Vibe". still around, at 49 he aint that young to be popping wit the young guns. todays music use computer generated instruments and voice box, it dont require real muscians like prince, jesse ect. but jesse still do old school THE TIME tours here and there.

  • Thanks so much for your comments...

  • i couldn't agree more on the part where you address todays "music" !!

  • GO JESSE GO

  • Back in the day...Minneapolis sound ruled

Jesse, Prince, Cherelle, Terry and Jimmy Jam!!!

What more needs to be said.....
