this is beyond horrible. amateurish. stuff like this makes you wonder how much having connections matters in the opera world, more than actually being a legitimate singer.
I have Pisaroni's version on DVD at Glyndebourne, he's amazing!!!!!! I also love Simon Keelnyside's performance of this. Topi is a great Ferrando. He and Miah have improved since Glyndebourne 2006 I think!!
I completely agree with you, I always thought that he was really the "weakest" part of this production (which is otherwise still my fave, great staging!), but I liked him very much here.
Overall, for whatever reason, Fernando (in this production) makes me feel that he is a real punk. Belongs in a pool hall.

It could be better if Pisaroni sings Guglielmo...but Boesch is a great singer too =)

In some parts, it seems like he has...but not in others. Which is a pretty big improvement over some other productions!
