Honestly, this is the most depressing (story) movie Ive ever seendont get me wrongits an awesome storybut still very depressing. Love it though very sad. :(
I saw this and I cried soo much. I didn't like it when my teacher assigned for us to read it, but to this day I'm glad. It's my favorite book and the best love story. Even though it ends sadly I still love the book. Poor Tess!
i absolutely loved this! it made me cry so badly and unlike anything else I have seen before, that last episode. of course, having read the book already, i knew what would happen...but i didn't expect for the pain to be felt again :( truly a sad story, but great.
Sorry but if you want to watch it for free you have to use a television. I don't have a tv so I know how you feel...on the plus side you can watch other PBS shows like Frontline and Nova Science Now online at the PBS website and some other shows you can get as podcast but I think Masterpiece/Mystery is owned by the BBC so PBS can't post it.
@Magoonski Actually, Masterpiece is owned by PBS. Most of the programs that appear on it are from the BBC (or other British channels such ITV), but PBS is indeed the owner. And many Period Drama miniseries are actually co-productions of the BBC and PBS (WGBH Boston). Wow, I can't believe I know all that. Think it's time I got a life, eh? ;)
Ooooh I love Gemma Arterton and finally we can see her in a wonderful period piece! Hopefully she is in the movie longer than the 5 minutes she was in Quantum of Solance lol!
such a good,sad story.
