I wonder what would happen, if the Queen Bee was a narcissist? Lol she would probly kill all the virgin queens to protect her ego, then die and the whole hive would be doomed.
@Yazoo111 I have not squashed the queen bee and i wouldnt advise. The bees would most likely sting you. The reason is because the queen is the only bee that lays eggs. If you kill her the hive would eventually die. The thing is that they make a new queen. They take a egg the queen has layed a little while ago. Then they feed the egg Royal Jelly. Soon the egg hatches out and they have a new Queen.
i cant believe the queen bee has to eat the babys from the workers because she doesnt want a worker to have a birth. besides its not fair for every bee execpt for the queen which it sucks
So iwas eight hit my head on a bee hive a d ran luckyly I was near a lake I got away with 8 stings. The behive was hangein on a tree inthe woods hit n run shit there was atleast 159 chasin me
While I watched this I started to hit myself all over... I felt like they were crawling all over me. My hair tickled my cheek so I freaked out for a second, and then I started to feel that little tingle feeling all over, like bees crawling all over me... and buzzing in my ear. AHH!
I'm very afraid of being stung by bees. I'm allergic (it runs in the family), so it's even scarier for me.. Plus, I just hate all insects/spiders.. basically any creepy/crawly thing.
@SMILEnatLUVSyou no my teacher found some plastic bugs while cleaning today and threw them at these girls who sit in front of me and they FREAKED OUT! it was hillarious!
@level2seven It's even nastier than that. They don't fight. The first queen to be born simply stings to death the other queens that are still trapped in their queen cells.
The "King Bee" is called a Drone lol- but they don't get any credit or crown. A swarm of Drones participates in a "mating flight" w/ a gyne (queen) when she is 3-16 days old. These flights last from 5-50 min. They circle & swarm high in the air and the queen can mate 7-10 times until her spermatheca is full. If the whether is bad she can make a sec. flight a day or two later. Apparently insufficient seminal fluid stimulates subsequent flights. ref: "The Social Behavior of the Bees" p 361
While watching the following videos with the screen tilted back a bit do this - quick short stop/starts on the Play button. Do you see the "O waves" or "Sky Waves"? The camera catches them. Video is "Does Orgonite Eliminate Chemtrails"
With Video called "Effects of Orgonite in the Environment:" stop at 0:57, 0:58,...... to 1:09 mins. And have the screen tilted kind of dark. See the "O Waves"? soisnessdotorg
I've seen queens get killed before. The other bees don't react right away. I think that they just gradually notice when no new eggs are being laid. (I am a beekeeper's son with 2.5 years experience now). I could be wrong since I've only seen this a few times.
can somebody who owns bees please post a video that consists on a queen bee being sqiushed so as to see the reaction of the other bees????,,,,,as in kill a queen bee!
please enlighten me.. are queen bees genetically predisposed to become a queen bee or are they chosen by the masses? is it a matter of chance or choice?
A queen is chosen from any one of the eggs that are available when the 'decision' is made to raise a queen. The hatched egg is then fed royal jelly until the larvae is ready to metamorphis. This protein rich food triggers the genetic changes in the larvae to become a queen.
The colony raises a new queen for a number of reason but it is always a choice.
Yes she can sting. Her sting does not have a barb on it so she can sting more than once unlike her daughters. She uses her sting to kill virgin queens.
When they need a new queen, do they start feeding several larvae with royal jelly, instead of just one? The first one to make it out of her cell finds the others and kills them?
In this video, she is marked, look for the be with the white paint on her. The queen is usually les fidgety and with a much longer "tail" than the others.
it amazes me how ppl deny God when they see things like this...i mean how do a munch on tiny bees know that their purpose in life is to build a huge grid ans create honey? and they know EXACTLY how to gather the pollen, bring it back, process it and make perfect hexagons! how the hell can they just KNOW that without being taught if there no God to inspire it???!

ah shut the fuck up you church dwelling bitch, its all instinct....and one other little word that you religion nuts hate... "science" now shut your hole before i dress up in a devil costume and fuck your tight pussy
How do millions of cells inside the body coordinate, and create DNA? Microbial evolution over bilions of years due to symbiosis. The interactions of bees are insignificantly simple compared to the complex history of bacteria interaction and behavior. I'm not bashing/denying, I am in fact Christian.
Its called instinct, you're just born to know what you have to do in life. Just like every other species on this earth, is to learn from your parents, reproduce, and decompose. Its SCIENCE and more specifically, evolution. Also we have to have some logic and reasoning. God did not inspire them or else they would have a completely different god. Which is indeed not true.I believe in god, but we have to have some logic and intelligence before we say "god is the only being that teaches" or inspires
the queen is the one with a longer abdomen and a dab of white(yellow?) paint on her head. beekeepers usually mark the queen with some paint(harmless) so that they can spot her easily.
The queen can sting but that is usually reserved for killing a rival princess. Her sting is not barbed (like the workers) so she can retract her sting after she has used it. As far as I know her poison is just the same as the workers.
