I wonder if the band knew it was going to be this epic when it started or if they just felt the magic happen and let it go spontaneously ? Were they even aware of how long this was going on ? A musical masterpiece for sure. They've probably got their own early 90's practice tapes with tons of all-day non stop jams. Performance art.

i read a story once about a guy who met phish backstage this show and it was his birthday. phish asked him what song he would like to hear and his response was "anything but runaway jim." now if thats a true story i think he got his wish bigtime. this is epic
